Ah, the classic Ford Googar!

Can't even tell what the others are trying to be? It's a very long stretch to have bought that one thinking it looks remotely like 'Porsche', and I'm assuming the TT is owned by someone called Riooth

Audi also a good contender for the badly modified (stance) thread.

Hopefully this isn’t personalised, but seems a bit odd either way.
I very nearly bought an Insignia a couple of years ago, until my brother pointed out the reg number was CP60EDO.

Wasn't cheap enough for that hehe

RS52 JO S / RS52 JOS

Apart from "Jo S" the "RS" part of the plate is a bonus - mainly as it's actually a replica based on an ST170 and not an RS.

Expensive cars with cheap plates. I don’t get it. Are all the owners cheapskates?

Always smacks of desperation to impress to me and of course if the plate is illegal or a risible attempt to spell something using numbers as the cheaper ones frequently do, particularly when seen on the more aspirational marques that feature so prominently in this thread then of course its worthy of nothing more than utter contempt.

Much prefer the opposite combination myself - cheap car and valuable plate. That says yes I have a nice plate and no I don't give a st.

Yeah, saw a Bentayga locally with a cheapo plate with 5ARA in it but plenty of spare characters, 150 grand plus car and spends £299 on a plate ?

R100 HRH on a supercharged Range Rover.

Surely no genuine royal would have an HRH plate?

Of course not.

Somebody with serious delusions of grandeur wanting to give the impression they're somehow related to Mrs Queen might well do though.

Isn't the queen's the only car without a plate?

No, lots of Essex's Royalty don't have them - on the front at least - either.
