I have a few I can remember.

M678 BHS was a blue Ford Escort. Had a lot of issues so he it rid of it.
P37 RUS also a blue Ford Escort. I loved that one.
S633 NGB Silver Ford Focus. Back when they were first released and NO ONE had one. 1.8 zetec with climate pack. Was a superb car.
SH51 XXL Ford Mondeo tddi lx. Nicknamed "the Brick" it was a decent car but after the Focus it was a let down. Still did 125k in it and it didn't miss a beat.
EK57EWW Ford Mondeo tdci Zetec. Much better than the old brick.

Finally got him to get the Jag XF he wanted so that's his current. Can't mind the plate.

Mum had a G reg Fiesta. Can't mind the reg but it was called "chuggie" as it was clapped out and chugged along. You could have either the lights on, or heater, or radio in the dark. Not two or more as it couldn't cope.. hehe
X752 KGD. Renault Clio Grande. Her first brand new car. Red and lovely.
SA 03 VDL. Renault Clio again. 2nd new car as she sold the red one to my brother for his first car. Which then became my first car. Which I found through this site has been written off since.
She now has a 14 plate Fiesta which she loves. Still called "Chuggie"

From very early childhood taht I can remember back when it mattered:
SYL14N Renault 16TS
LNK621V Vaux Cavalier Mk1 2L
A909PUR Volvo 240GL
XPD483 1955 Morris Minor Series 2 - family second car for a decade or soup to c. 1988

After which Dad had a Volvo 740GLE, Rover 620, and now a series of Jaguars ever since. Also a Mini, a Rover 100 and some KAs to replace the Minor (modern equivalents, but none as satisfying!). I long since lost track...

Back in the 70's my dad dealt (still does) in used cars, usually unusual high end stuff. On cars that he kept for a while he put his plate on it - "DAV 1D".
Many years later I asked him what happened to it - it appears he never owned it in the first place, just had a plate made up and put it on various cars yikes

My mum only decided to learn to drive in the '90's.

J480 PPF - Rover Metro 1.1S
L141 EPB - Rover Metro 1.4Si

Both were Red - For some reason she had a thing for Rover Metro's because she learnt to drive in one hehe Both very reliable though and never broke down apart from a flat battery smile

She's currently driving an MG ZR, bought new in 2003, that's still going strong smile

Only a couple

481 CGD - Rover 100

PCR 122G - Cortina 1300

BLC 401H - Cortina 1600E

EDE 853L - Granada 3.0 GXL which I learned to drive on

There were others but the ravages of time and too much alcohol have erased them.
