Sure do

KHJ601E Austin Cambridge in blue with white stripes down the side. I loved sitting in the passenger seat because you could lift up the floor mat and see the road going past. The green fishing indicator stalk was also a highlight. My mum wrote the car off by rear ending another car.

VPC537S Datsun bluebird 180B in silver. Rust bucket.

F348RMC Peugeot 205XS in cherry red. Only 85bhp but felt like a rocket. Learned to drive in that car.

Gregory Duncan Owns 817 Wildebeest
GDO817W - mum's Ford Cortina. I have no idea why I decided to use that phrase to remember it when I was 8 or 9 years old, but it clearly worked.

I remember a few of my Dad's, the notable ones, I'm rather younger than a lot on here I think so there's no really old registrations.

The first I can remember, his Saab 9-5 T160 JKH when I was about 8-9 - Untaxed since 2010, probably dead somewhere

His Alfa 159 when I was about 14, I loved that car, I thought it was the coolest - OY56 ABZ - untaxed since August, probably dead somewhere

And the one I probably remember the most, the car he owned when he died, an E Class Coupe YG17 CZY, which must be on a private plate now as isn't coming up when I search for it.

If I think about it I could probably come up with more, but they're the ones that stick out

It's all a bit hazy now, but I don't think my parents were registered.

In my mind it has always been:

RHO 870T

But I'm not sure if 0s (or indeed Os) were valid in either section of a 1978 plate.

Orange Austin Allegro smile I absolutely loved it as a kid, especially the trampoline-like rear bench.

Never forget these

Mk2 Escort - MSO 628P
Astra Estate RSS 220X
Belmont - F349 GSO

They spanned my early years but I was too young to remember or care about the Mk1 Escort that came before the Mk2

Great memories of day trips and UK holidays esp the Mk2 Escort as he had a one wheeled trailer which always drew attention biggrin
