Not really, luckily enough. Had a huge moment of oversteer thanks to a sidewall rip letting go at 40 m.p.h. on a bend. I was naïve at the time, thinking 'it'll be alright, it's not down to the wire'. I'm not now.

It might not be something you've done. When someone clipped the back corner of my car on a car park, one of several instances of me finding it damaged after leaving it parked, I found a chunk of tyre peeled back like that. It seemed they'd clipped the bumper, which had given a bit, and they'd touched the tyre as well.

That's what I'd do as long as there are no bulges. The outer rubber contributes zilch to the structural integrity. Super Glue is perfect for rubber, incredible bond.

Yep, I super glued a similar flap on the front tyre of my BMW E90 a few weeks back. Not quite the size that this one seems but it glued a treat. Have done quite a few miles since and can't say that I'm fretting about it.
