Integra (DC2) vs Corrado VR6

but if it is even remotely like the Golf VR6 I'd buy something else.
That's the thing though; it wasn't. Even the Golf owners who had also driven a Corrado would admit it. The two cars couldn't have been more different (well, ok, they could have obviously. It was a figure of speech). It wasn't even the same VR6 engine either - 100c greater capacity, but crucially a bigger throttle body and also a more free-flowing exhaust. I think there were some other differences too but I can't recall off the top of my head.

Sadly I have no time for DC2's as they are all now sporting a gay fart cannon exhaust, working next to a Honda breaker for a few years that noise got slightly annoying, though a good car nonetheless.
You shouldn't discount a car based on its owners, I wouldn't discount a Defender just because all its owners smell of piss. pits said:

VR6, ok it was a Golf not Corrado but, I owned one briefly, it made a reasonable noise but it was slow as fk, torque steered everywhere, proper lazy, handled like a woeful pile of wobbly dog st and was so nose heavy under hard braking the back always tried to overtake the front. I don't really care what shares what with what, but Christ it was st, least the aircon worked though, the Corrado does look good but if it is even remotely like the Golf VR6 I'd buy something else. But if the Corrado does handle better and doesn't want to overtake itself under braking go for it.
From memory if you lowered these vw cars (scene alert) the brake bias mechanism needed fiddling with, or the back end did indeed get a bit over braked.VR6, ok it was a Golf not Corrado but, I owned one briefly, it made a reasonable noise but it was slow as fk, torque steered everywhere, proper lazy, handled like a woeful pile of wobbly dog st and was so nose heavy under hard braking the back always tried to overtake the front. Anyone in doubt of the quality of either the integra or corrado should go google reviews from the time - both were very highly rated. Mk3 golf was bloody awful compared to mk2.

You haven't a bloody clue what you are talking about, chap, and are just making yourself look stupid.
Also, humans and chimpanzees share over 90% of their DNA yet are clearly very different.
So rather than spout nonsense why not enlighten me with your facts so that I may retort. Also, humans and chimpanzees share over 90% of their DNA yet are clearly very different.
Which engines other than the vr6 differed from a mk3 golf?
Which suspension components and switchgear differed. Im all ears....
Claiming to enlighten but just showing wiki links and not being able to point out any mistakes in this post.
Pipe down when you are wrong please.

The one I had, granted a Golf was standard in every way shape and form, just nose heavy, didn't help that I replaced all the pads, discs and fluid in the system so they brakes worked and worked well, but quite a few times I had the back end stepping out down the road.Anyone in doubt of the quality of either the integra or corrado should go google reviews from the time - both were very highly rated. You can discount the Defender on whatever you want, it is called an opinion and your right is to have one and if I don't like it, no skin of my nose I don't get butthurt because someone doesn't like the car I have or says something about it I don't like, I couldn't care less.
HTH
To be even more specific..
Corrado 1.8 16v is a Kr same as mk2 golf
Corrado 2.0 16v 9a same as passat
Corrado 1.8 G60 same block different head to mk2 golf and different capacity to a Rallye
Corrado VR6, 2.9 was only used in corrado and mk3 golf syncro.
Corrado has a Golf Rallye transmission tunnel, bonded windscreen, reinforced firewall
I could list off a huge number of interior and exterior parts which are unique to a Corrado or shared with a b3/4 Passat and a small list of items shared with a mk3 golf like indicator stalk/mfa
Most Corrado owner would never swap to a mk3 and a significant number of Corrado owners have traded up from a mk2 Golf gti.
