And is it related in anyway?, Do love the noise of a vxr! and they sure are powerful...
It's a 2 litre, 4 cylinder turbo. It's not innovative, unusual, doesn't sound any better or worse than any of it's competitor engines and isn't especially powerful. Another completely average engine to be consigned to the forgotten engines list once a new one is built to replace it.And is it related in anyway?, Do love the noise of a vxr! and they sure are powerful...

I hope it is. I've never seen anyone use "Vauxhall"/"Opel" and "iconic" in one sentence.
Hm. C20XE, Dr Fritz Indra and iconic -- I think that works together quite well, even with Opel attached. The guy is a genius and I would have thought the XE gets the credit it deserves round here? Masterpiece! The porosity issue isn't a design flaw, just the usual accountant induced fk up. To be fair, GM were, as usual, on the brink of bankruptcy back then.D1on said:

^^^ Rather iconic!
Nowhere near as iconic as a calibra of course!
Brilliant the best example of an iconic Vauxhall/Opel you could come up with, is not a Vauxhall/Opel^^^ Rather iconic!

The Z20 was a turd. Everyone I know who had one had endless trouble with it.
