Perhaps being a touch pedantic but for what the car is likely to be used for and considering what it looks like, I'd probably save nearly all the money and buy a new top-spec Kia Sportage.. It's prettier, probably just as comfortable, and saves most of the money for something worthwile..
Yeah, course you would.berlintaxi said:

Yeah, course you would.I'm a Range Rover fan (most of the time) and bar it's move slightly towards bling-dom, I can't see a single selling point of the Bentley over a RR.

Was prepared to have an open mind about this (ie consider it to be merely st) but I saw one today and it really did look atrocious.
Remember though, the target audience is hardly a bunch a car nuts in the UK. At least Be they are back to building fast lorries.
Admittedly as you say the true reality is the people who buy them probably don't give a jot other than it being a prestige car with every creature comfort inside. Even if it only ever drives from a hotel to an office. (or something similar)Remember though, the target audience is hardly a bunch a car nuts in the UK. At best it appears to have taken styling cues from a London taxi and a Hyundai Matrix (rear)
Saw one as well today.
In a dull gold/grey colour.
Older man standing near/ sitting in it while someone else took his picture with it.
Front and side are ok. Nothing special, they have tried to fit a similar look as the rest of the range to the front and it's not quite pulled it off.
Rear is horrible. I'm sure it will sell to those who want the Bentley name but I would take a top spec Range Rover over it personally.

As both a Range Rover and Bentley owner, I do have some attraction to the Bentayga.
Im still not convinced about its styling yet, maybe a grower but suspect it will take a couple of facelifts as did the Continental before its sorted.
It is a hugely capable machine though despite the looks, and as a feat of engineering and luxury there isnt much if anything to touch it.
Everything else currently in the market is either slower, smaller or doesnt have the ambience (Range Rover AB included).
Id certainly consider one but may just veer off and buy a Cayenne Turbo instead!

I saw my first of these on the road in London this week. It was very dark blue. I'd definitely echo the comment above that my first thought was "ooh - it that a new black cab design?". Not a pretty car by any means, especially considering what a good job Jaguar have made of their first foray into similar territory.

Not seen the Bentley yet, but although designs grow on us, the Range Rover (the real one, not the Sport) is so effortlessly posh and poised that it's difficult to challenge, it's just so authoritative. Also, much current hype about old ones - much of it silly- is adding to the interest in Range Rovers.Rumblestripe said:
