Looks like a resin bound system - someone will just come along and fill those footprints in with some more gravel & resin. I doubt its a big drama.

I've got very little sympathy for people who choose to buy a Cayenne for £10k over value in what looks like the colour of raw sewage, and then wear jumpers as foul as those when being photographed for a national rag.
Indeed. Memo to self: if I ever find myself in the position of buying a car from a dodgy dealer who subsequently goes bust and the police seize it, only wear heavy knitwear for the Daily Mail expose photo if my man breasts are smaller than my wife's CS Garth said:

7 years is a good sentence. I expect he'll be out in 3-4, still, you can hope it sends a message to anyone thinking of doing the same.
Doesn't help those who are still out of pocket though.
He should have paid the owner's their money. Sounds a bit more complicated than what is just being reported. I would wager that it was the owner and finance company that were loosing. I.e. the car would be sold to someone who took out finance and then the car would be reported stolen. The car would then be sold for cash and the finance company loosing out as well as the owner of the car. Same car stolen twice.Doesn't help those who are still out of pocket though.
Anyone who leaves any vehicle with a dealer sale or return is extremely unwise (imo) there is a very good chance it could go tits up, even if the dealer has been established many many years.
I nearly got my fingers burnt when I left a Triumph motorbike with a local long established Triumph main dealers.
They sold my bike the next day, never told me, I found out from the new owner (In Ireland) when he contacted me with a query. it took me two weeks to finally get my money, after around ten phone calls.
They went bust six months later.
Never again.
