Worst Driven Cars
Discussion
The worst drivers of all operate (driving is too strong a word) newspaper delivery vans. The only time you are unlikely to get hit by one is when they are parked on Zebra crossings to make deliveries. The irony is that more often than not the lead story in our local paper is about some unfortunate getting killed on the local roads.
For dawdling around and holding up everyone on the road
- Honda Jazz to the point where I say ffs if I see one pull out up ahead
- a and b class mercs
- early 2000s corollas
- Nissan Leaf and other Eco cars
- small Daewoos/ chevrolets eg the kalos and matiz
- Japanese mpvs
- Nissan note
- rovers although you don't see many nowadays
- Kia's that are more than about 10 years old
- Honda Crvs and the non performance civics
- Toyota Yaris
Aggressive and tailgating etc.
- any Audi newer than about 15 years old
- sprinter vans
- the mk2 Lexus IS usually the 220d chucking out clouds of black smoke.

I get none of this - pootling around in my Leon.
Idiots are idiots, but apart from the occasional flash for overtaking someone on a clear sighted road ( which happens a lot judging by threads and comments on here) Leon driving is fairly uneventful with no perceived extra annoyance or pleasantries from others toward me.
problems.
I now have an Audi on order.
Sitting in the new car facing The Four Rings of Satan on my steering wheel I wonder if
I will turn in to a raving lunatic forcing people in to the verge and tailgating so they fear for their lives
people's perception of my driving will change.
As long as you don't park badly or get a chav plate, I can't forsee any problemsIdiots are idiots, but apart from the occasional flash for overtaking someone on a clear sighted road ( which happens a lot judging by threads and comments on here) Leon driving is fairly uneventful with no perceived extra annoyance or pleasantries from others toward me.

What car are you most likely to be stuck behind? 45 in a 60, slowing down for a junction half a mile before turning, hasn't looked in the rear view mirror since 2005, refusing to overtake a cyclist, stopping at roundabouts when there's no one coming, 30 miles in the slow lane of a motorway with the right hand indicator on, what grinds your gears?
Honda Jazz?
Renault Pope Mobile?
Vauxhall Estate thingyHonda Jazz?
Renault Pope Mobile?
Other assorted Vauxhalls
Hyundai - assorted
Fords - most non sport types tend to be on the pedestrian walking pace.

Although there are some outliers, there are some trends developing on this thread.
Vauxhall and Citroen MPVs are putting in a strong showing, with support in-depth from the Range Rover and Audi diesel.
And yet relatively few BMWs.Vauxhall and Citroen MPVs are putting in a strong showing, with support in-depth from the Range Rover and Audi diesel.

Prius. Around here they are used as Ubers and Taxis around heathrow. They go everywhere in the middle lane with their fog lights on!
It really is shocking isn't it. One even drove into me, and didn't even have insurance. There aren't many cars that i'd give a wide berth, but a Prius with 7 GPS/mobile phones stuck to the windscreen obscuring the view is definitely the poorest driven car on the road.JD66 said:

The is220d probably tailgates because 1500RPM in 6th gear equates to about 85mph!- Honda Jazz to the point where I say ffs if I see one pull out up ahead

The joys of stereotypes. We have 4 cars and you get quite different reactions from other drivers from lots of tailgating or plenty of room whilst driving in exactly the same manner.
People do seem to tailgate our old Honda Accord.
It got so bad with our Jazz we ended up hating driving the car and we got rid. Never let out of junctions, always tailgated at whatever speed and people were always going for daft overtakes so they're not 'stuck behind' us. People do seem to tailgate our old Honda Accord.
In contrast the Legacy seems to have no reaction whatsoever and people are generally courteous.
The Bentley is a bit of a mix, generally courteous but a lot of people go to overtake at junctions etc - presumably they see old car and think slow!

It's true, somehow the ahole BMW drivers switched en masse to Audi about 5-10 years ago.
Nope, just more people have either (on lease), the Zero Indicator/Tailgate market has widened that's all https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
