What I am saying is if you look at the old RS6 V10 with all the creased wheel arch extensions, it looked like it meant business. This is just a bit boring looking. Not the animal no doubt it is. But seriously, the RS6 is supposed to be a family super saloon? This is just nuts. The Ferrari F40 only had 400 odd bhp.
Both front and rear arches are flared. The photos in the article are naff.

I really really want an RS6.

I'll give you that - a much better photo which gives the car the menace it needs

It's not just Audi, loads of cars have trims where we used to have tail pipes. My BiTDi has two great big chrome letter boxes, and relatively modest pipes that exit into them. I can live with it.

Agree about the arches. Not sure if the Audi press dept are trying to play down the aggressive look of the cars but in the flesh these cars are fabulous to look at. Have a look at the [url=http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=86&t=1548852&mid=50958&nmt=Audi+RS+%2F+S+%2F+R8+picture+thread!]RS Photo thread] for so real car porn pics.

'Does anyone need this extra power?' someone said. I thought PH had an autodonk feature for such people wink

The future hybrid comment is interesting. I'm set for an RS6 as my next car and I was asking myself this, just this morning. Would battery power adding 200bhp be a bad thing? The RS6 is the perfect size to lose some batteries and motor technology. It feels inevitable and zero road tax on an 800bhp car would be amusing.

Well, I've been out driving the RS6 Performance this morning and I was seriously impressed.
I could feel difference between it and the "standard" rs6, the shove in the back was huge!
Drive very well on the 21" wheels, not crashing or banging on country roads.
The suede centres on the seats are stunning too.
