Wow, that's amazing. The withdrawal from advertisers against controversial content seems to be very, very real.

Seems harsh for pulling him over for a downshift and calling it 'Dangerous Driving'. In Aleems earlier vlogs he came across as a nice kid, wealth has probably gotten to him now.
It also seems he likes spit in his McDonalds; his current Instagram story involves him driving to a drive-thru in his SV and getting a bit cocky (one could argue 'banter') with the guy taking the order.

On a related note, I'm always so surprised whenever I come across someone either in real life or on YouTube being rude / not saying please or thank you when ordering their take out food. I must put in about 20 pleases and thank yous when ordering and try and be as nice as possible. As ultimately these people are going to make the food you're about to eat. Or perhaps I'm just overly OCD about these things!

People who are insecure in regards to their standing in society will usually be rude to those they deem beneath them in order to try and justify the elevated position they believe they hold. It's a sign of great insecurity.

We're probably all guilty of that ailment in some way, shape or form. biggrin

Although arguably these people do precisely recognise their inferiority to where they wish to be perceived as being in the pecking order which is why they have the need to be offensive to those they consider below their imaginary or desired station?

I suspect that he is aware that he is not an actual lord. smile

I see 'DannyDC2' has produced a couple of interesting vlogs from the Nurburgring this weekend when he attended a trackday and did some tourist laps.

Shmee was also there on 'Car Friday' but doesn't seem to have gone on track.

I would have been heartened if any of the usual 'supercar vloggers' had attended either of this weekend's WEC or British GT races to show these cars being used in anger rather than just showing off and revving in a city centre and maybe encourage their younger fans to consider going along to such events themselves, but alas they seem to all be driving down the Autoroute to Monaco for another bout of showing off and revving in a city centre.

Finally, in vaguely related news, I saw Darren Turner, the racing driver, driving a silver/black Aston GT8 through the infield (I presume rushing from the WEC Qualifying session in the new pits to the old pits for the ELMS race in which he was also driving) and it looked much more impressive than Shmee's blue/orange version.

(Also saw a DB11 in the flesh for the first time on the Aston stand in the paddock and that also looks very nice and a welcome update to Aston's somewhat generic styling for the past dozen years since the introduction of the DB9 (was there a DB10? I shall go and investigate on wikipedia))

What an awesome channel, thanks for sharing. Great cars and the filming techniques to capture the disassembly etc are superb. You can tell he has a passion for filming just as much as for the cars.

Hope his talent is spotted ASAP and he really goes places thumbup

Just a couple of things for information, I would have loved to do some laps of the GP circuit when we got there (most of the day was a road tour) but the terms of my finance agreement don't allow the Vanquish to go on track! Peculiar one, but then out of the cars in my garage it makes the least sense anyway. Being at the Ring was a nice stop on the way to Italy where I currently am - the car is much more at home at Lake Como!

With regards to attending races, we are faced with two big problems. The first is content licensing, you cannot just turn up and film an event like those you mentioned due to the restrictions in place. Let's assume you skip that hurdle the next problem is the audience. I've done a number of racing activities and attended both the N24 and LM24 for the last few years amongst my own things with MINI Challenge and TT Cup, but the consistent result is that racing just doesn't get any views. It's a tough to understand why but at the end of the day that's not good for business, especially with the time investment and the licensing problem. Obviously I enjoy it so I go that way anyway, but it is an important point to note.

However with my GT8 spec, I'm afraid that was done for me and not for anyone else! The car is loud and shouty, I wanted colours to represent these characteristics and it's come out perfectly for me. If we all did car specs for other people, they would all end up being black and that would be no fun at all.

Kudos, as always, for replying. I watched the 2nd of today's British GT races live on YouTube and there were 700 viewers, so I can see where you are coming from...

Also it is interesting to hear you mention the finance restrictions on tracking the car, but I guess it is all down to keeping the residuals up (what next? no smoking or transporting take-away food?)
