Where do PH draw the line within a topic which is largely about YouTube and within which most people are aware of Tom regardless?

1) "I am getting into Vlogging and wish to join this discussion but must keep myself anonymous... pity, as I have interesting insights"

2) "I am getting into Vlogging and wish to join this discussion but must keep myself anonymous, but I have a successful fitness company and drive a GT3RS, wink wink nudge nudge"

3) "Hi guys its TGE, just started vlogging, can't link it here but I recently did a video on a Rolex on which I noticed that... (enter useful insight)"

4) "My lambs, my latest video about my Rolex is now live and I've noticed that... (enter useful insight). As many of you are likely to go watch it, to save you the trouble here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thQXEXEAQ3I/"

In my eyes (3) and (4) or largely the same?

.... also, unless I've misunderstood the rules, seems I'm all-clear to post that link as I'm not the owner of the content?

I wonder how many views a "Pistonheads BANNED ME for this?!?!?" video can generate for him.

He shouldn't do it. It would drive traffic to PH and tbh they don't deserve it if they did ban him.

I hadn't watched the video until it was posted above, his post was deleted before I read it... And now it's a bit of a bugger, as that's local to me, and I'd have been genuinely interested in a discussion over why he came specifically to that branch of that chain.

I wouldn't have watched the video without it being posted here, he's not someone I'm subscribed to, and I don't go looking for watch videos.

Point is: That TGE video being posted here would have resulted in me further engaging in discussion with other PH members on this forum. Really. I'm not just saying that to be awkward.

Agreed.

This place seems to be in a mindset of going down with a sinking ship, the mods, the dev team and even the journalism has got sloppy.

I think a removal of the link with a warning would have been much more appropriate (which I have seen done before, but lets not get into that) but no common sense seems to be applied in this place, they seem to have a chip on their shoulder.

You can post the link, BUT don't abuse the privilege.

Please remember whether you like the rules or not, you and all other current members have agreed to abide by them, it was a prerequisite of the last time the rules where updated & published.

So basically if PH likes you post the link and introduce yourself and if it doesn't you get banned?

No just comply with the rules you have agreed to abide by, simple.

I just read what you said properly on the last post. My bad. What about previously banned members is that it for them? No coming back?

Just for clarity:-

A thread ban is NOT a forum or site ban, it just means that member can no longer post on a specific thread.

If he drops me a mail, I'm certain we can sort. smile

If he has been banned from the thread for one single infraction of 'da rules' then that it very harsh. Big Al - can you confirm or deny that is what has happened?

I don't need to deny anything?

He was banned for posting at least two posts that contained links to YouTube clips to my knowledge, IIRC he's made 36 other posts on this thread I haven't checked them all.

Completely laughable you can post others links but not your own.

If anyone wants to view TGE's latest video you can watch it here https://youtu.be/thQXEXEAQ3I

If you want to watch my latest video I'm afriad I can't link you it. Sorry!

RIP Taliban-beard Tom. So long my chicken tikka. Banned from our thread but lives on in our hearts deleted folder.

"sell you watch. I make you niiiice priiiice. very legitimate."

CONVICTED OF SHAMELESSLY SELF PROMOTING HIS JIZZLE.

if you see this man do not approach him, he is considered highly dangerous and may force you to like him on instagram against your will. If cornered prone to demanding twitter follows and in extreme cases youtube subscriptions. Under no circumstances try and engage him in conversation or he may attempt to discuss supercars with you. If spotted remember to run, hide and tell. Last seen interfering with a stuffed donkey in the passenger seat of a Porsche at Keele services.

remember; other youtube channels are available to rid you of Tom dependency and if you've been affected by Tom's conduct on social media trained counsellors are standing by to take your call.

This was a public service announcement on behalf of the Unauthorised Jizzler Promotion watchdog: JIZZWATCH.

Having not been on the Shmee150 youtube channel for ages i clicked a link from Goodwood videos. To my surprise he now has a collection that would rival Jay Leno.

McLaren something, Ferrari FF, and Ford GT, Mercedes AMG GT-R and Porsche GT3 on order. So either youtube is paying crazy money these days or his magic money tree has had bumper harvest.

Also one thing I noticed is the content is getting milked for all it's worth, videos like ' Heres a Porsche' followed by 'Would I buy a Porsche' 'Advantages of buying a Porsche' ' Why haven't I ordered a Porsche'.

It's turned into a right boring affair which is a shame because I used to enjoy a lot of the content on there.

I dont think all that monay is coming from youtube but rather from product placement and sponsors. The more videos you have the more clicks there are to be generated.

are they not just leased anyway?
Its strange as when I was away the other week a TGE popped up on my "suggestions" section on you tube. I watched a few more and found them ok, not something I would suscribe to but when I fancy watching i would search to see what he is up to. Seems to be a straight talker and give his honest view rather than wanting clicks, sponsors and things like others i would class in the same catagory.

Slightly disappointing to see TGE removed from the discussion. It seems unnecessary but hey ho. I'll personally continue to watch his content until such time as I get bored or he stops making it. Choice is the foundation of liberty biggrin

I don't know about you, but I couldn't afford to "just lease" a few supercars.
