Well, generally a gaggle of attention seekers with scant knowledge about the cars they are driving making poorly shot videos edited (by the look of it) on a Nokia 3310.

But that's the internet for you. No barrier to entry and no quality filter.

I have meant to, but last time i went for a proper hoon I forgot my equipment.
I love the POV stuff and giving the cars a good run out, but very fine line between creating those sorts of driving videos and effectively just putting up evidence of myself dangerous driving on the internet. a) illegal & asking for trouble b) not a great example.
Fairly thin ice and it's been touched on here before. Abroad however I may care slightly less, rightly or wrongly. Lols.
That's the reason I fell out of love with supercars and went back to bikes. 1299s Panigale costs half of what a ford focus RS does and yet on 95 percent of public roads will spank a LaFerrari royally. After you've ridden a 200hp superbike nothing short of a Nasa launch feels as quick or much of an adrenaline rush - here's a case in point - legally out at 170mph on a public road...

https://youtu.be/X74KdOtRtLE

you really can't do those numbers in any car without stacking it or being front page news. one of the big advantages bike moto vloggers have is they can hide behind their helmet and remain more anonymous, and bikes are just built for thrill ride pov footage;

flying ring lap;

https://youtu.be/B03LRASFZnQ

which is just as well as you can't wrap them.

a great vlog showing a proper hooning wink

https://youtu.be/gX-dHOVY6_E

why do I mention this?

Baron von G made a guest apperance in a recent TGE episode so my request is you do a supercar vs superbike compare & contrast with Mr VG - would be great to do a episode discussing the different exoerience of riding a superbike fast vs driving a supercar. maybe take a mclaren out vs a ducati on a b road and see who has the most fun ;p

Hiya. Answered above somewhere, but I've found them the most pleasant to deal with and the most willing to find workable pallatable solutions - they also fully value the social media/marketing aspect of what I do with them. All in all a good bunch, and unless something goes wrong, will be using them for a long while to come. Great thing is, they're not 'just' supercars. Lots of more attainable and usable cars too. Stock there is crazy.

Badly written, yes.

Also seems to only look at YT monies. There are other sources of income and there is a decent variation in what someone gets per view. Just seems a bit sour really. If some one's made a go of it and YT is giving them ad money for fluffy videos, good for them, they should be enjoying it while the getting is good. Things will change, some will fall by the way side, others will adapt and carry on.... usual stuff.... just good to see people making the most of the game.

I have to admit, few will give you a review like Clarkson or Catchpole, but then people are not watching for that. They want the cars, the noises, the glimpse of the life style and that is what they're being served. Can't argue with that.
I think you've hit the nail on the hard; everybody wants to look at the 'easy' concept of how much money do you make per thousand views etc, but the reality is that it is ever so much more complicated than that when you consider it more like a publishing medium. For example I may have 1 million subscribers, but across my social media pages it's around 5 million on Facebook alone and that carries quite some weight that seems to get ignored by these metrics. YouTube represents some fraction of my total Shmee150 income, it's somewhere in the 1/3rd region or thereabouts which is easy for these websites to forget.

Thanks for kind words, enjoy doing them too but other (work) stuff keeps on getting in the way!
My thinking is to review a car only once, so I like to cover all the tech and experiences a car offers in the single vid.
can you please go on another road trip in something exotic smile

I do love the road trip videos you do.

The more and more I read this thread the more respect I have for TGE. I enjoy the videos, honest reviews and its not "look at me and my money" aspect. I watched the Geneva motorshow video last night and liked the bluntness of "yeah I like that I'll have that, that's crap" etc made me chuckle.

I think the level of interaction especially in this thread is fantastic, openly answering question & not bullstting. I would also like to see POV usage of the cars - maybe a track day if that's your sort of thing?

Appreciate it mate. All I can be is myself, and those unfortunate enough to know me on a personal basis will vouch that's just how I am.
Enjoying putting out videos and sharing what I get up to, is also meaning I'm getting some cool invites which I love. Interesting you mention that it's not a 'look at me and my money' show. Very concious that it's a showy topic and can quickly look like that, pleased it's not coming across like that, as it's effectively the finance companys money anyway. Lolololol.

POV track bits will be coming soon; got race license coming up which I will start hopefully doing some more track bits with. If I pass.

New BBB video tonight at 6pm btw - my gym/burger series, which features a Rolls Royce Black Badge Ghost and 'Lenny the Geeza'. In Milton Keynes. Living the dream as always.

It is very difficult not to pass. Just drive at 90% and hit the apexes and stay on the circuit.

As it was, I think some youtube people would have split that video into 2 or 3 separate ones, but I'm not really arsed about milking it that much. Want to do some proper videos with JE and his car in due course, getting in some proper action with his car in the collection video would preclude further video/s with it so best to hit it properly in another one. Also we were in a rush to get back! Ha
TGE - it was really nice to see how clearly excited / proud of him you were on the day - like you said more so than your own.

First person to say that in 700 comments, interesting. Has been good feedback on this tbh.

May be the part where he called you the weight of a quaver hehe but I recognize your personality and part of the intent was to go quiet / be a little odd I think.

The bit where they're in the back of the Rolls Royce towards the end of the video made me think they had a problem. Probably just acting or whatever but i felt awkward watching it!

Hahaha. I thought I had hid the fact I hate him quite well, obviously not. Lols. That sort of stitled awkward chat is just my humour, me and Lenny are pals, he's a good egg.
Interesting though that not everyone gets or loves it, still won't change however. I am how I am. Wait until you see the next guests coming!

One of my new pet hates (in as much as you can get hate on these things!). Vloggers doing "collaborative" videos with each other

I appreciate they want to cross-fertilise on subscribers, but its all very artificial; the Vloggers have different personalities and styles, don't dilute it down by combining it with a forced combination with another Vlogger that I really can't stand!
