"Admitting to", as though it's a secretive underworld I've just exposed myself as belonging to.
May surprise you, but ANY major brand will have a PR agency on their books, or their own PR department.
I assumed everyone knew this, or perhaps it hasn't filtered through to the equine world yet.
The significance of your admission, is not to awaken me to the world of PR, but the fact you tried to distance yourself from the instigation/knowledge of that article. By admitting it was PR, it makes it far less likely you/LDNM didn’t have prior knowledge and input into that articles direction and content, including the headline. Besides, that article has sat online for 6 months, if you were really that embarrassed by the headline, why didn’t you/LDNM get it changed?May surprise you, but ANY major brand will have a PR agency on their books, or their own PR department.

Your sort of embittered passive aggression is what puts most people off forums like this, me included.
May reign in my contributions going forward. Cba.
It’s not embittered whatever. It’s legitimately debunking the smoke and mirrors that you, and a number of the richer car vloggers, feel the need to surround yourselves with. Far from putting most people off this forum/thread, I think most people would welcome a reduction in smoke and mirrors.May reign in my contributions going forward. Cba.

I agree with everyone else about the Archie Hamilton video about the tyres. By far the best of his that I have seen. An opinion shared in the comments section by the look of it. He should play to his strengths and do more like that.
I find myself liking the TGE videos as well (although I have had to stop watching them with my 8 year old),always nice to see people not taking themselves too seriously, especially in this day and age.
I am slightly perplexed by the apparent hatred towards these people. Some have managed to make a commercial success out of a hobby, others were successful before and are now making the most of opportunities presented to them because of their hobby/business.
Why such animosity? Watch the ones you want to, don't watch what you don't want to. It's all free to us as are our choices.

It's great video quality from Archie, and much better than his usual clickbait, but as a tyre test video there's no depth. He's not driven the car on the Michelin option or any other tyre, so there's no benchmark.I'm know I'm being picky, but it's my industry He does a great job of explaining the brand message though!

I can't see how STG has 117,000 views of his latest vid, about selling his 2 cars for 1.
It's boring as hell just chatting to a used car salesman.
Although I did fast forward looking for an interesting bit.
I keep viewing his stuff for some inexplicable reason.
Because a lot of his followers are not interested in the actual car reviews, they are interested in his personal life and what's going on. I call it the social media effect. It's boring as hell just chatting to a used car salesman.

The same is evident on this thread by certain users wanting to know personal details about them and speculating.
TGE you would be better off ignoring Mr Horsey and responding to other posters who contribute in a positive manner. People like that hate being ignored. The term 'don't feed the troll' is very appropriate in this case.
With regards to your latest video, I didn't watch it, not because of you, because of the car featured. The launch of the spider version of a car I have already seen reviews of when first launched doesn't excite me. More interested in you next video featuring your 720S and hearing your views compared to the Porsche and your Lambo.

Thank you, glad you approve. Apologies for possibly lowering the tone on occasion and meaning difficult to watch with the nipper. I am concious I do sometimes have youngsters watching so try to never swear or be too inappropriate. Taken on board!Fair play to Archie, he took every bit of criticism on board and nailed it with his latest vid. Appreciate he had to promote the Dunlop and Porsche products but it was still very enjoyable to see him push a car on track. Should gain him credibility with a whole new audience and hopefully still be of interest to the younger crowd.

yep, mentioned his gramps at the 1953 Lemans. Really good stuff.....puts really useful clear water between him and t'others. THIS should be his bread and butter and push the glitzy "look at my wrapped calipers" stuff to the side.....make those vids the exception not the rule. More track work Archie!Quickmoose said:

You’re right. I think what I’ll do is start a YT channel, employ a PR firm to make out that I’m something that I’m not, over develop my biceps, some lame soundbites, and I’ll be good to come into this thread 3 times a day (huge workload permitting) and receive the adulation I crave.Another vote for Archie. Great video. I don't find him anywhere near as annoying as some find him.

You've developed some sort of fascination with him, do you fancy him? Horsey McHorseface said:
