From what's been said on this previously, I don't think the ad revenue rate is universal, it can be much higher for one person over another with nominally the same views on a video.
Of course, you can go from the average though I suppose, like I said I'm not too fussed at any rate

That's what I was thinking but it's still quite important in terms of the British car industry (what's left of it).
Now a TVR launch video would be genuinely interesting, different and exciting to watch for me. But I agree with the above comment, if it's not ferrari/lamborghini/mclaren then it's not worth bothering about. TVR would probably get as many views as a Noble video, and who wants to support British manufacturers anyway?

Most of the YouTube group probably wouldn't go to Revival but I will obviously be there and I am very interested to shoot a piece with the new car. If I can tie down Les to walk me around it on camera then I most certainly shall - nothing is better than having an expert do the talking, especially him if you have heard how enthusiastically he talks about the project.

I've been with Sam and Paul at Revival the past 2 years I think! (with Michelin on the Friday)

It's one of my favourite events of the year, so much fun!

That's something I'd very much like to see the media get behind - as a diehard TVR fan (if not owner, right now) I really do wish them every success and am fascinated to see the new model.

Genuinely awesome vid here (not me/mine)

Perfectly captures an epic Euro road trip

Should be just up PH street

I watched the full 35mins and enjoyed it all

Just watched it. Epic, nice to see some "normal cars" (and some supercars driven the way they should). I don´t like those "look at me, I can afford a supercar" type of people.

STG has a new video called "should i have bought a 570S?", very interesting didn´t he say he could barely afford the 540C? I guess he´s either living in dreamworld or doesn´t keep track with his lies.

the line you should be looking at is the last line in "Earls of Westmorland; Second creation (1624)" section.

Where did you pluck this figure from? It's absolutely impossible to guess their yearly income. I doubt anybody apart from themselves knows how much they make.
You can actually pretty much work out what they make from Youtube with standard ad revenue, just look up the video views from that month.

They get paid per thousand views, there is a website that will actually work this out for you, watch a PewDiePie video, he is very open about what he earns, in all honesty I'm not sure why people care... They provide entertainment I like to watch, they get paid for that entertainment and it helps them create more videos to entertain me. I think it's a great platform.
Yup, it is quite easy to ballpark YT revenues, once you know the number of visits and average time watched. Someone getting 5-10 million views per video, like Fox, is not going to be slumming it (despite YT payouts falling in many cases this year).

Also really enjoyed this. Perhaps I'm being naive too, but the speeds maintained at times on that tour were pretty intense. Looked like fun!

Good to see this thread, as we passed the group as they were about to leave their hotel on the Petite St Bernard. Nice collection of cars.

Tim, as a matter of interest, would a new TVR be something that you might consider buying?

There was a GT8 at the deposit-holders preview.... but, shoot, I can't remember what the plate was, or the colour scheme, or who the owner was... wink

Just bumping this again as I feel the video deserves it. A really nice watch with a lot of good driving/car/noise footage and a gentle and subtle level of talking that gives you a nice feel for how the trip works and how enjoyable it is. Lovely roads and a lot of care has gone into shooting from different angles etc too. Very understated and classy (if that's the right word - no click-baiting, shouting, generally going "wow" "epic" etc) video, Hope it gets a few more views.
