MT is really killing it on YT plus they have a paid service which seems to be doing well. I credit a lot of MT's success with Jonny & Jason. Both have great chemistry.

Shout out to the LoLo Squad. Latest MoVlogs from water park, definitely worth a gander: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2jEWWw0HFQ
Right so help me understand how the vacuous meanderings of two incredibly privileged kids living off their mother's gigantic divorce settlement are ok to watch but you loathe TGE so much ?

One assumes it's about tits, the viewing thereof vs your classification of somebody as ?

High brow stuff indeed !
Yes, I like T&A, don’t you? If you want high brow, you won’t find that with TGE either.

Proof of ‘gigantic divorce settlement’? You have no proof, because there was no such settlement. Mo has made his money from his channel. Here’s the proof: https://socialblade.com/youtube/channel/UC_hoQDD6z...

What I don’t like is disappearing GT4’s, constant repeating of lame sound bites, and the last straw was finding out all the smoke and mirrors was orchestrated by a PR company.

That’s why I prefer the LoLo squad, to the rahrah squad.

Tim, your sister seems to be pulling in the views. Most views far in the last 3 weeks and only a few days old.

You need to make a video of a Q&A with your sister with the headline 'OMG I CANT BELIEVE SHE ANSWERED THAT QUESTION!!!' with a thumbnail of you looking all shocked whilst your sister poses in the background with a finger to her lip looking cheeky.

I'm telling you, that's a guarantee 5 million views right there.

@Noodle1982 A view boosting hot sister? RSK21 will be along shortly to call you low-brow. I must admit, I do miss MrsShmee150. Apart from the obvious, she also brought spontaneity, that is somewhat lacking from Tim’s onscreen persona.

Actually not entirely the case as both my Ford GT drive and visiting JP Performance each have 100k more than her new car. However, the reason the video with her has done well I put mostly down to the genuine excitement and therefore the personal connection for the viewer to the content they are watching. That gives it initial high engagement which means longer viewership time and therefore more promotion through the YouTube algorithm system - the very same calculations that make 'fresh' content tick and makes it possible for channels to grow faster while they are newer.

However, August is historically a horrendous month for YouTube traffic so I have learned from previous experience to never be too disappointed by slow numbers as they will start picking up again in September and back to normal for October. Basically, people prefer to be outdoors or on holiday when the weather is nicer in Europe and the USA!

I have watched a few of schmee videos before and tbh found them a bit boring compared to top gear with clarkson, Hammond and may for example.

However, having read some of this thread and seeing schmee with all his supercars in his recent video where he took them all too Goodwood and just WOW !!!! Surprised there was no sideways action.

I can respect schmee for he is doing something he clearly loves and enjoys and is getting paid well for it. Surely we all went something like this. There was quite a bit of hating at the start of the thread. Seems to have quietened down now. I don't really watch his videos hardly but he seems like an intelligent chap and big deal if he had a bit of parental support to start with. He doing well now and is a pioneer in the you tube / car impression review game. Well done !

Haha c'mon Tim, even a blind man can see why it's done well. Any high profile youtuber that puts the word 'sister' in the title is certain to gain more views.

Just please don't go down the route of 'wrapping my sister's car'....'5 things I hate about my sister's car'......'fitting an armytrix exhaust to my sister's car'.....'5 things I hate about my sister's car'.....'why my sister is selling my SISTER'S car'....so on and so fourth.

Anishvin posted two IG stories calling out a "friend" who's posting stuff about and maybe exposing this "friend" for spreading BS about him, was this directed towards you TGE?

I can definitely see that and I'm sure was why you were hesitant. I would definitely be the same, especially with the amount of negativity on the internet meaning that having family in your videos exposes them to some of the stuff you are probably more used to. All I can say is keep it up. I've been reading this thread for a while now and you and TGE cop a bit of abuse and seem to take it extremely well (practice I guess!) but at the end of the day hard work = success is a pretty old formula and not exactly something people can blame you for!

Ah the ever reliable social blade indeed

Yes of course Mo and co have built it all on YT revenues. The house, cars, generally indolent lifestyle didn't exist before YT ........ ??? Hardly. Yes he's making great money now but it's not from a base if nothing.

I'm no apologist for TGE and I've made my views clear on the general opacity surrounding others but also acknowledged their ability to to leverage a great start in life.

At least try and compare apples with apples.

Or if it's easier for you melons with melons ?

If we're doing shout-outs, then this channel deserves FAR more subscribers - road tripping done properly in an Ariel Nomad. E.g. https://youtu.be/X4Y8nis2KIc

Thanks guys! Doing our best to show that roadtrips are the most fun you can have with your car. Next video from Romania with Transalpina and Transfagarasan is actually IMO our best so far. Will be out in a day or two.

Although not always glamorous, typing this while sitting for 45min now in the Nomad on the lower deck of the ferry from Corfu to Italy. It stinks and there's no air whatsoever. La bella vita! smile

I have to say I'm not normally a car vlogging audience, not really into supercars and our "lifestyle" is slightly different, but this thread is very interesting.

Colin Furze, the eccentric guy who attaches jet engines to trolleys and does other wacky stunts, has tweeted he's the most subscribed motoring YouTuber. More than 5m subs.

That's great, but as brilliant as Furze is, he's really not a motoring YouTuber is he? He's engineering, stunts, that a few just happen to be based around vehicles.
