That's my theory for sure.If the content is ace, then it just doesn't matter what you film it on so long as it isn't a potato! If you can keep it to an adequate quality level and edit in a way that doesn't genuinely upset the viewer (fast cuts, bad audio etc) then it's all about the content.
The Casey Neistat style is lovely with over the top glamour scenes, but it doesn't for one moment bring in more viewers and in fact it often creates drops in the live audience retention - most of the biggest YouTubers don't do that for a reason.
It's a balance of %age work input of what you could do, versus the %age of the audience that will be happy with it. The size of the audience who want the very best only represent a tiny amount of the total potential audience.

Edit, you also touched on a very important point. Audio. Why don't more vloggers put a mic on? £80 for a good one, and it saves all the crap the Go Pros mics pick up.
If anyone has any tips to improving audio in car, I'm all ears! I currently just plug a lapel mic into my GoPro, but it picks up some mighty interference. That's using the official GoPro lead as well. I received a 3rd party adaptor today which has an 'anti interference' filter. Hoping that helps. Link for those curious.
Will check out the S8 videos now. I need to upgrade my phone tbh!

I get about 20 friend requests on Facebook a day on average. I can only imagine what the other guys get. Shmee and TGE will probably confirm, there's no end to people wanting to be your friend. Edit: I wish people wouldn't add me on Facebook tbh. There's the follow feature now that people can use instead. Can't remember now tbh mate but it was like I'm too good to talk to the likes of you attitude and no I don't know you I wasn't even on corsa c lol I was like oh ok then lol I was sending you the request simply as I'd met you and we were on the same forum and had the same mutual friends lol didn't want to be a fanboy lol, and I was gonna ask about the ring trips as well but livesey has since given me some valuable info but I am looking at places to stay as I've never been and it's something I want to doHow was I arrogant?

I'm not criticising tbh I watch your vids as I like them BUT if you're not doing the car/YouTube as a business model then surely in a lot of cases you must be losing quite abit of money on buying cars keeping them a few week then selling, I admit some of the rarer stuff will gain or retain but on the whole isn't it pointless buying a car doing a few hundred miles in around the London area and flogging it without rly getting to know it and have serious fun with it?lee_fr200 said:

nope I do like his m3 but not a fan of the integra but I can afford my own m3 if I wanted as for tge I do like him and his videos I just can't understand the point of buying these cars and selling them weeks later if it's not for YouTube as a business model n that was my question! Surely if you're gonna buy a m4 gts and a 720s you're gonna actually get some use out of them or you buy rare cars to flip them for a profit which he says he's not doing so I was saying if you're not doing it for YouTube isn't it pointless losing money on a product you're only gonna use for a few weeks! Surely by the time you've been to the garage spec'd a car then waited for it then go pick it up 99% of ppl would keep it more than 8 week especially if it's the best car out there which was his own words, I personally couldn't live with the hassle of it allTake the other vloggers they actually go on massive road trips across Europe in there's and film it that I can understand but I don't understand why tge does it unless he just enjoys ordering cars picking them up and then getting rid for something new every few week, so I'm not hating on tge I was asking what the point was unless he was doing it as a businessman model which I could then understand
