Some cool flames and burnouts from Aventadors, GT-Rs and Mercs at a meet in London a few weeks back. Sounds and looks epic on a big TV with the sound up. Best video for a while.

The knock-on effect of this is that some enthusiasts and owners stay away. I stopped taking anything interesting to meets a couple of years ago having watched the way this demographic interacted with the cars and their respective owners. Add that to the self entitled mouthbreathing quotient who believe that allowing your kids to physically climb on cars to have their photo taken is not an issue and you've got plenty enough reason for people to stay away.
You have to at least appreciate the irony of someone with your username not wanting teenagers messing with his car.InitialDave said:
Hey Danny, interesting to see you wanting to have a crack at "UK One Takes", hope it works out well for you. Had any good (or hilariously awful) submissions yet?
Had a few terrible ones... but also a few very very good ones. Blown away by the response TBH. Possibly something happening with Honda too InitialDave said:

I do find TGE funny and a more natural entertainer than some of the more obvious Youtube stars but his latest upload just sums up this genre.
They don't really give a fk about a cars performance or handling, they literally just want the badge and the kudos of circling a roundabout a few times

What the fk is that? Absolutely pitiful. They don't really give a fk about a cars performance or handling, they literally just want the badge and the kudos of circling a roundabout a few times

"Buying a Ferrari 488 Spider?" - literally makes one comment about it and that's it. Meanwhile Archie (who I still have no idea how anyone likes him or why he's even there) giggles like a little girl trying to be funny. Is this what the younger generation enjoys and aspires to?

From your perspective, I'd look to make some form of contract so that should a mechanical component fail that you are not responsible.

I've been thinking about this. I have third party cover but that's it. It's an immense amount of trust, no way would I be letting a stranger from the internet drive any of my cars. Many seem keen though!
I was with Adrian Flux last year, they let you add a feature to your policy for only £20 extra allows drive any car fully comp (with owners permission) up to the value of £20k. I added it to my policy as it is a huge piece of mind. Probably one of the easiest ways to do this type of thing. For more expensive machinery not sure what the solution is?Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
