I have a lot of love for this. Quaife diff as standard and optional Alcon brakes.

Maybe they should have called it the Clubsport instead though wink

I suppose the downside is you have to travel to Cockermouth to get one!

Very nice, can it still be stripped as quick as a normal ST ?

Doesn't look very different apart from the alloys, black spoiler and gash front stickers. They ruined the front end big time imo

I assumed they were only available from M-Sport.

You can't get them direct from M-Sport, they've appointed five (so far) UK Ford dealers to sell them. More dealers being planned.

I agree with the above, it looks like a normal ST they just changed the wheels, put on some stickers and a black spoiler? I'm sure ST onwers can DIY this look or make there own version of it.

The mechanical upgrades are more interesting to me - not sure how much you could do the same brakes, diff, engine, and exhaust bits for without the dress up bits

Yes, its easy to copy aesthetics of most sporty cars however this model is all about the mechanical upgrades and subtle on the aesthetics.

Did you expect them to somehow make some un-copyable body mods for no apparent reason??

Plus the mechanical changes like the diff. Being sold through a dealer also means all the mods won't be seen as mods for insurance.

An ST1 can be had for around £14200 via a broker.

Is there really £7400 worth of extra here?

That's minging.

Just about every surface has some sort of logo/M-Sport graphic on it. The only thing missing is a shopping list on the door...oh wait, they put some go-faster stripes there instead.

I'm sure they'll be the equivelent of optional extras, therefore probably making it a higher insurance group. Afterall, it'll be worth more right? I don't understand why there is such as emphasis on mechanicals, yet there isn't one picture of the brakes or diff.

Great to see one of the manufacturers having a car referencing their wrc machinery......I know still not anywhere near how things used to be (I.e evo/scoobie/....) but good to see none the less.

Being slightly more because it is a more valuable model is going to whole different ball game to adding those mods yourself aftermarket. That's where insurance will be a lot more.

It's essentially a Mountune car from what I can see. Mountune and Greenlight insurance have a deal - so doubt it would cost much more than a standard ST, if at all.
