Bored in work, so here's what I'd have.

Mantis Green, Super Lightweight forged 5 spokes, all CF parts ticked, Branded floor mats...
I suspect that is Napier Green which came in on the LT Coupe, Mantis Green is darker

"sold out! Not really a surprise - it will be if any have sold in this colour though"

A P1 owner local to me might disagree. Reminds me of the E46 M3 Phoenix (baby poo) Yellow craze.

Everyone needs to go away and google Jenson Button's recent twitter picture of him in his 675LT. It is probably the most gorgeous thing I have seen in a while.

Would post link but at work and they have decided Twitter is verboten
Erm, maybe you should go have a look at the picture again. As lovely as it is spec'd it's definitely a bit better than 675lt, that's his P1

Nothing wrong with that colour at all cool
Agreed, I'd choose that colour if I were lucky enough to own such a vehicle.

If you want one for track work get the coupe.

For an open top road car I'd rather have a 650S and about £100K in change.

I'm finding the LT styling overly fussy on a spider
I was offered one of these whilst my 650 was in build, glad I wasn't tempted now.
The 650 is a better car for my 8-9k miles/yr of touring
Yes that was my point. I suspect you rarely get anywhere near the full potential of your 650S (which is utterly f**king gorgeous by the way) on the road so I don't see the need for more power and speed on a road car.

If you want mental performance and 'rawness' for the odd Sunday morning blast buy a Caterham 620.

Soo lucky to be on the list for this amazing machine, especially since they actually sold out a long time ago!

I don't think it would be in the flesh
Napier and Mantis are quite different and the LT body panels will make a difference

Way to go McLaren. Shaking the supercar market up by its horns.
Great car but at over £300k a used 650S spider seems like the bargain of the century at sub £200k.
95% of the fun and excitement for 66% of the price. Now what could you do with the extra £100k
650S spider still simply the best value supercar with hyper car performance that you can buy

This is brilliant marketing by McLaren.
Say it's a limited edition and the punters line up.

Hardly a new concept.

I wonder when McLaren will release an all new model. These in between model efforts look like cut and shuts to me. I far prefer the original MP4.

Fair enough. It does match a lot better. Although to my eyes it look a bit tacky and Japanese. Just far too swoopy for my taste. I'd still opt for a black MP4, based purely on looks.

First good looking McLaren road car since the F1.
