On a point of pendency, vultures don't suck blood. Leech would be better.
Sorry to drag this up, but is the concept of vultures sucking blood pending?
The point is mute.

"blood sucking vultures" describes vultures who suck blood. While no such thing exists that doesn't make it (in the context of a description of insurers) incorrect.
So I think describing someone as a blood sucking vulture is fine.

But what do I no?

wink
I think it's a mixed metaphor. Still, the point he was trying to make when he called me a bloodsucking vulture, is that he wouldn't trust me with a bargepole. hehe

I knew someone who had a Moot point once...................although that fact is debatable.

If it ever happened, which I very much doubt but it's a great pub tale.
I can confirm he definately had a black box policy, and no black box in his car.

I suppose he could be making it up.... but why?

This is true, there are black box companies which save the money required for a gps box plus the cost of an engineer by posting you a plug in 12v gps unit, and there is one or two companies which only require it to be plugged in for 3 months so they can check your driving style, after which you have to post it back to them, thus reducing cost further

very flawed idea though
