What is the VED on Bloodhound I wonder?

(I can think of quicker ways of killing myself and ruining fewer people's hard work to be honest)

My 5:

Jaguar C Type
Mercedes 300 SLR (if 722 happens to be available even better)
Ferrari 250 GTO
Mercedes CLK GTR (I loved the racing car - but the homoligation version will doubtless be more than enough for me!)
)

I honestly can't decide on a fifth....

Here goes:

  • 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR
  • 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR
  • 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR
  • 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR
  • 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR
That ought to cover it.

Yup.

Diablo GT - because it's the best looking supercar ever made and totally impractical and silly,
Lexus LF-A - just to hear the exhaust note properly.
Gumpert Apollo of some sort - they look ridiculously good (in an awkward way), are rare and very fast and lairy.
Aston V600 Vantage - because it looks like a proper brutish British beast.
Tesla P90D in ludicrous mode - I'd genuinely love to know what that level of acceleration feels like in a car that's so quiet and seats so many people. Must be quite surreal.

- McLaren F1 - (by far)
- Auto Union V16 - yes I know its not a road car but what the hell, who wouldn't?!
- Jaguar D-Type
- Lamborghini LM002
- Porsche 959

I could do a 20 car list no bother, 5 is almost impossible.......

Tough choice to make!!

I would go for the following 5,

McLaren F1 - Supposedly even to this day the fabled F1 is an awesome car to drive!
Bugatti Veyron - Because it's a veyron! Nuff said!
Shelby Daytona Coupe - I've always loved the Daytona since I was a kid and it would be a dream to drive!
Tvr Sagaris Speed 12 - It was meant to be wildly savage and I can imagine the pure driving experience would be immense!
Ferrari 250 GTO - Such a beautiful car with an engine note to die for, no other reason needed surely?

As others have said, narrowing it down to five is proving tricky.

McLaren 675LT
Ferrari Dino
Lotus Esprit
Cayman GT4
Jaguar F Type R

There are also a number of others that I have been lucky enough to drive over the years albeit far too briefly and would love to try again but that's a whole new can of worms.

Lancia Rally 037

1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am (455) with a manual gearbox.
Roger Clark's Cossack-liveried '76 Lombard RAC Rally-winning Grp.4 Ford Escort RS1800
Maserati Shamal

Were I ever to acquire all the above I guess I'd be saying farewell forever to the fairer sex because no woman would want a guy who refused to sleep anywhere but in the garage housing these five...!

Mmm... For a day...

Steve McQueen's 250 Lusso
Steve McQueen's 911 S
The new 991 Carrera T, perhaps not even the S, just sports exhaust and PDK please, curious as to what it's like, and suspect it's probably the best everyday sportscar yet made.
Aston Martin DBS Coupe, with the 6 speed 'box please
Ferrari 458 Spider, one of my all time favourites, especially in grey, perhaps a high watermark

The two or three that missed out?

An L322 Full-fat Range Rover with the 5 litre V8, hysterical fun I should imagine, and one of all time great cars (if not one of the all time driver's cars) and a 997 Carrera GTS or 3.8 GT3. Either of those 997's might just prove to be the most fun one can have in a 911 on the road.
