In today's Autocar it says that Porsche is planning a plug-in hybrid 911.
cmoose has probably got one on order. But that order is sure to be cancelled if the car turns out to have any of the following,

  • turbo
  • less than 6 cylinders
  • power steering
  • gears
  • etc
  • etc

Perhaps you'd like to bring everyone up to speed with my views on the Porsche range - or were you just making that bit up to suit your own view of the world?

this thread still going.....

the 911 hasn't evolved, it's gradually morphed.

i would say cars like the 7, 5 or 3 series, Caterham, Fiesta, Corolla have evolved.
Even a trad Morgan has evolved. A little bit.
But the 911's purpose and thus target market have changed. The typical buyer today is not the one buying in the 60s or 70s.

... or was that the Panamera?

Feel free to refer to either as you see fit.
