Only had the dashcam a day and already got a moron. Shouldn't be surprised I suppose with the number of them about.

40 Zone, both lorry and myself doing 40, Mr Focus decides he's bored, he'd been right up my trumpet for a while so I was ready for him to do something stupid like that.

Reasonably pleased with the G1W camera. Picture quality isn't amazing, when moving numberplates aren't very clear, stationary it's fine. For £26 though I can't complain.
Do you drive a Peugeot? hehe

so humdrum and boring

in the 2 weeks before the cam was installed I have 3 very very near misses that promoted the camera to be fitted, one of which if there had been a crash without the camera would have had me 100% my fault

Yeah, I know there wasn't a whole lot wrong, just didn't see the point in the overtake when there wasn't really much room to slot in.
Maybe it's the camera angle but it looked like you'd been courteous and left him lots of room for the overtake. As for the overtake and why, to get in front of the concrete mixer obviously. No idea of the road or whats coming up but I bet that's been slow to pull away, so focus took the opportunity to get past in a safe place.

Lol I had an old primera - the TVR did more to the gallon at times.

Many people who buy dash cams seem to have questionable motives and think they become instant traffic police and are allowed to drive AT people rather than make a small adjustment to avoid conflict with other road users
I just use it mostly to record my induction noise biggrin

That takes me back. Done that myself a few times, but not on a street anywhere near as busy as that. Also know some who has a new hip from doing that. The car made the U-bend, he didn't.

The real shame with people like that is that they ruin someone else's life when they get run over, rather than just their own. Idiot.

This is the inevitable with the increase in automation in cars.

I agree. First time an automated car with a sleeping driver kills a young family, there'll be a massive backlash against the technology.

Yeah, I remember the same thing happened with HGVs - a driver fell asleep, killed someone, and then they banned any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes - that's why you don't see HGVs any more. Exactly the same when the first fatal car accident occurred - cars got banned, never been built since.
