Well, I had read that VAG had bought the rights to name cars after WINDS, eg Bora, which prompts me to think that in return for Q2 and Q4, they have given these names back to Maserati.
cant see there being a VW chicken saag smell coming out soon. that's the type of wind in our house after a curry.LotusOmega375D said:
It's a shame that the German executive car manufacturers are all too lazy to think up actual names for their cars.
They could have used Tiger, Panther, Leopard etc. for these SUVs.
Too late I'm afraid, they were all taken by Leyland for buses many years ago, so are presumably now owned by DAF. Tiger was front-engine, Panther rear-engine and Leopard mid-engine so that's all bases covered if they can negotiate a deal They could have used Tiger, Panther, Leopard etc. for these SUVs.

Alfa have used SV recently, which is also a Lambo tag, could be that which they have acquired exclusively. SV for Super Veloce, is a cracking name for something Italian, better than Q something or other.
Alfa had a Giulietta SV (Sprint Veloce) back in 1956 so it's not likely that they nicked it from Lamborghini.Zadkiel said:

That sounds like a pretty solid guess to me.xRIEx said:
I'm not sure what you're saying here - are you claiming none of these are names for winds?
Well tbh he is kind of right - never heard of a wind called ''Up exclamation mark''. Im pretty sure that Golf and Polo are sports. Or did VW sponsor the world's best golfer or get a big sum from Ralph Lauren at the time..?Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
