Samco hose won't stop leaking?

Perhaps the jubilees were overtightened and the pipe split underneath.
Perhaps the water pump neck is not perfectly smooth, some casting marks / flashing perhaps resulting in a rib where the pipe slips on.
No real solution without taking the hose off and inspecting everything.
Drain from the rad drain plug if available and reuse the coolant if collected in a clean bucket.

I would think that there may be grit or dirt in between the the hose and the flange it pushes over or a pin hole in the hose. Is the car a ZS or 45 by any chance? Just because it has had a new water pump does not mean that is not leaking, the are a weak spot on the K series engine and unfortunately often the cause of the dreaded HGF, I fitted a new pump on the wifes 45 when I replaced the timing belt less than a thousand miles later the pump was leaking.
No it's a MK3 Zetec engined fiesta, I'll check to see if any corrosion round the pump, but as I said there's no visible sign of antifreeze round the pump seal so I can't see it being the pump itself996TT02 said:

I've had the pipe off and it's npt split, but the pump does have a little lip on it where the pipe goes over. I had the unenviable task of designing cooling systems for 3 years (although that did include a certain new fast hatch back with an R and an S in the name somewhere).
Honestly, it sounds like you have wrong diameter of hose. If you're at fairly low pressure the bead on the spigot should hold the seal. The clamp is there to cover very high pressure events.
You want to be buying hose that has an actual inner diameter somewhere above 0.5mm interference with the land diameter of the spigot (the flat bit after the bead).
In general silicon hoses are too stiff to be any use. We don't use them in industry because of that, coupled with higher cost and the fact they arent compatible with OAT coolants (if you use it, you pull the corrosion packs out of the fluid and end up rusting your engine).

You've put the two clips on so that the worm drives are on opposite sides of the hose?
FWIW I don't use silicone hoses on our cars & prefer to use ones sourced from a franchised dealer. I do that with a number of parts having learnt the hard way that pattern parts might be cheaper but don't always do the job.

That's good to hear, seems to be leaking when putting the car through it's paces, not on idle so I'd imagine that the hose is slightly too big. The actaul OEM hose is very difficult to find, given that MK3 Zetec Fiesta's weren't exactly common in the first place, hopefully a standard hose will sort it :/
