Halfords Trade Card - Poor Discounts ?
Discussion
What riles me is that nowhere can you find out prices in advance... God knows why you can log on to their website with your card number and see the prices advertised at the trade rates. They are genuine deals to be had especially on their own tools but I cannot be bothered asking the price of X, Y and Z so tend to only ever use it in emergency situations...
Some of the bulbs and blister pack prices were so much ridiculously cheaper than retail price it was embarrasing to the cashier if there was a queue.
I went once and bought 3 packs of twin pack bulbs and a couple of connectors for less than the price of a single twin pack bulb, the look on the guys face behind me when I handed over £2.50 when the pack he had was retail at £2.99 was priceless
I know some of the prices have changed but not been in for a while.

Still some reasonable discounts available. Can't remember how much it was but I got a few quid off the Bosch super twin wiper blades I bought a couple of weeks ago, probably nearly £10 off two. Bulbs are still cheap but it is generally Halfords branded items that work out best for discount. They are OK if you need a car battery too.
They knocked £6 off the price of the single Halfords wiper blade but that still made it £9. My local factor sells me decent make blades for less - Halfords used to charge less than half that.
The problem being that GSF / Euro Car Parts are no longer cheap (retail) either.
I'm tending to buy most stuff off Ebay / the internet now.

Yes, no longer that good.
I have noticed that while some of the discount rates are still fairly high (bulbs, wipers etc) the original price has shot up ie headlight bulbs are now £20 a piece! Quite often they are on buy one get one free to normal customers which beats the trade price, crazy.

How do you use the trade card online? I had a look and I couldn't see anything obvious.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
