My neighbour's tribute to his hero Jim Clarke, should at least be on a two door I know, but I like it...

I once saw an XR4i in Texaco colours. It seemed deeply wrong.
Like this?

Seems OK to me, even if it was an XR4i and not an RS500

Awesome.

As are most ravcing liveries, even if the base car is unrelated, and / or gash. The only exception if 555 stickered suberus, but that's a demographic thing.

The Audi Quattro paint job looks fine on the S3 but it wouldn't suit, for example, a Polo despite being built by the same company.
Nor would it suit an A2.
Maybe so but I think that's an Audi A1, so basically it's a Polo.

That Gulf livery looks awful on anything but the original race cars. Even worse are the TAG watches with the Gulf face on them.

The Ur Quattro - I think that's what it is. Rear sill appears to be flared to meet the arch. Perhaps the original poster can comment on that.

On closer inspection it is an S1 not an S3, my bad.

German Texaco Sierra good, XR4i seen at Le Mans way back when, not.

Finally those Reliants. Actually, in a really weird way, yes. I don't think it should be encouraged though.

I think the rear spoiler is also bigger than the coupe's.

quite like the Gulf Liveries. There was a V8 aston that used to rock it locally and i believe Trade Center Wales has a Porsche 918 with Gulf livery which i saw a pic of in one of the South Wales meet threads. Wouldnt do it to my own car even if it was an exotic car but they do look nice.

Worst culprit by far are Impreza owners turning thier standard blue Imprezas into world rally cars.. makes me especially cringe when its on a WRX with the baby spoiler, it never ever looks right lol.

"A low-pressure installation running just 5-6psi of boost, the BBR kit took the MX-5's 1.6-litre engine from 115bhp to around 150bhp, torque climbing from 100lb ft to a chunky 154lb ft. Top speed went from 121mph to 130mph and 0-60mph from 8.7sec to just 6.8."

Better than just a trim level + some dodgy paint though! Manufacturers wouldn't do this nowadays, they just don't have the balls

It often looks pretty dodgy on cars, bikes can get away with it.

There is one local to me, love it but it always smells like its leaving a cloud of unburnt fuel.
