Where as I'd take a naturally aspirated GTS over any of the cars you mention funny enough and that's after owning a q2c for a year and experiencing all the others . One mans sandwich is another mans toilet paper and all that [sorry that's a Greg Valentino reference I couldn't resist ]
No no, you're right, obviously fuel consumption is what matters to you and you're completely entitled to prioritise that over a beautiful design and a sublime soundtrack, why not go the whole hog and get a 114d though? jakesmith said:

Fuel consumption? No I think you got the wrong end of the stick . I find the audio and the r8 ugly , the Cali is an automatic girls car , the 12 c is an inconsistent handing electronic heap that took pouhon differently every single time I went round it because it thought it was smarter than I was . The wheel arch liners wore through bottoming out at eu rouge and the plastic fun things kept falling off . McLaren had the audacity to tell me the car was "overdriven". So no nothing to do with fuel consumption .Give me a naturally aspirated 911 with a manual and nothing on your list would I entertain for a moment .

Let's face it you don't see too many 4.0 RS's around.
Most R's will be mothballed - as many 4.0's are. How many miles on your 4.0, and you drive your cars more than most. Have you come across any with more than 10k miles on it? And that car is about 5 years old.
Mine had over 5000 miles now , most on track to be fair that's spread across a couple of dozen vehicles with track time spread evenly between car and bike . However the only other owner I know is a German with well over q0k miles but I concede I don't even remember the last time I saw on one track . A terrible waste Most R's will be mothballed - as many 4.0's are. How many miles on your 4.0, and you drive your cars more than most. Have you come across any with more than 10k miles on it? And that car is about 5 years old.
If I get an r it will be a daily driver and occasional track slag , fear not

996 C4 targa manual in Ocean Jade with Teracotta interior over a V12V manual coupe? Really?Give me a naturally aspirated 911 with a manual and nothing on your list would I entertain for a moment .

I'm actually more bored with the comments that presume everyone that buys these cars is a flipper and none ever get used but realise I'm in the extreme minority with this point of view
If in a couple of years we see a good number of 911R in the market which have been well used and properly enjoyed, then I will gladly say I was wrong.I don't think I will be though.

Doom is not representative of today's GT3/RS/R/918 owners - he will drive the car more than most, but because he (& others like him) have so many special cars the mileage will be low.
Most will not get past 991 miles in the 1st year of ownership.

Actually my main problem is I'm only in the uk 2 / 4 months of the year . That's the main issue but agree in general Doom is not representative of today's GT3/RS/R/918 owners - he will drive the car more than most, but because he (& others like him) have so many special cars the mileage will be low.

The low miles ones [flipper cars] will be up for sale . You won't see the high mile ones for sale because they will be keepers I don't think I will be though.

Germans are less previous about miles. If I get an r it will be a daily driver and occasional track slag , fear not
A 991R is about driving, perhaps AP should enforce a tax unless a certain minimum mileage was conducted each year.
Most GT type cars pre the 4.0RS have decent mileage.

awww have a hug doom.don't take it personally there is just some obvious frustration, I would imagine its stronger amongst us 997 owners as this is indeed the 991 we have been waiting for.
seeing them being flipped upon release for £200k is going to break some hearts. mine included.

Mate I'm not taking it personally , I'd have to be getting one to do that and that looks extremely unlikely atm don't take it personally there is just some obvious frustration, I would imagine its stronger amongst us 997 owners as this is indeed the 991 we have been waiting for.
