looks like it's put on 155kgs...bit disappointed there. Guess it's all gone to the additional radiators?

Love love love it.

Don't care about 2tonnes given its the same weight as an M5 but has nearly THREE TIMES the power.

Excellent, the announcement of a 400g Co2/km car is just what VAG needs at the moment. laugh

Are they at the point on making profit on these now, did the Veyron lose VAG money until the end?

I like it, looks much better than the Veyron.

1500 horses.. That's the starting point, anyone think it will make 2000?

Should've called it the Chiton. It'll Chiton any other car in outright speed (provided you have a long enough bit of road...)

Looks better than the Veyron. It's lost it's dung beetle dumpy looks.

I still find the whole arms race a bit silly, and not conducive to creating more enjoyable and more engaging cars for normal mortal humans to enjoy on real world roads or accessible race tracks.

Chiron or Lotus 3-11? Which would you choose for a days road and track driving?
For someone who can afford a Chiron, I would imagine that a P1 GTR or FXX are the track day options.

apparently does 0-186mph in 13.6 secs. (though Koenegsegg 1:1 does it in 11.9)
costs 2.2 million quid and someones apparently ordered 6 (!) already

All things considered I don't think that is too bad.

On the contrary, won't the entire VAG range produce 400g when the witchcraft software has been disabled?

For a car with a huge top speed im very surprised at the headlight area. It simply doesn't look very aerodynamic

Overall its a fantasy car , and as an update to the original i like it.
Will be interesting to see one in the flesh and see if they have maintained just how small they are relative to supercars in general.

not keen, the 1500hp number seems impressive but in comparision to the One:1 its pathetic

One:1 1340hp, 1340kg = 1000hp per ton.

Chiron 1500hp, 2000kg = 750hp per ton.

Both fast, but one is a good amount faster than the other, looks better and is a better poster car and its 300k cheaper, bargain.

It looks ugly. I'm not sure if its better or worse than the veyron though.

I do know it will be very well engineered and the interior has some very nice touches.

Those talking about it weighing 2 tons, it really doesnt matter.

Remember that talk about the veryron and then how it blew away a track spec 911 on twisty roads (a ph article no less..)

But in the Chiron you could be trying to reach its top speed why wearing slippers and smoking a cigar. Wafting along with no drama whatsoever.

They're completely different cars. The One:1 is a no-compromise-fastest-thing-ever car and the Chiron is a GT car that could cover Europe at 400km/h, only stopping for fuel.

hehe I like the idea of trying to "waft along to top with no drama whatsoever"
