Every other brand new car I've ever had has come with at least a few miles on
Surely that wasn't PDI-ed worth a damn with that mileage on?
It's an odd one isn't, they usually have some miles on them

Two for me. The first snuck up on me. The second took a lot of waiting and little bit of strategic driving around suburbia smile

Not sure about Mercedes but some manufacturers have a function built in to the computer that the mileage can be reset to 0 if it's under 100-ish. So it can be delivered "fresh".

I thought it was just me! But no there are others out there...I too worked out when to reset my trip to mean the miles (123,456) coencided with the trip at 789.0. The shame, turned to joy seeing I am not alone.

.....And somewhere in my Photobucket account is the blurry photo of the time I got 123456 miles on my old e36 with 789.0 on the trip computer because I was bored enough to work out when I had to hit reset then as well.
My e36 328i is currently on about 119,500 miles and I'm currently getting ready for the same "odometer moment" in the next few thousand miles.

Need to remember to reset the trip counter at 122,667 miles, so I can get the "123,456 789.0" when the time comes. smile
I'm pretty sure I've got a photo of 123,456 from my old E46 BMW on the phone I had at the time, but it appears to have died in storage (the phone, I mean - the car died while in use).

So the best I can do is 77,777 on my current E46, last March. Looks like I forgot about the trip counter.

I started working from home about 2 months after buying it, so it hardly gets driven at all, meaning the next stop is 87,654 and I should be there around Christmas.

I'll try to remember to reset the trip counter this time so it reads 876543210. (9876543210 would be ideal, but at current rate of progress I'll be long dead.)

I didn't get super keen and sort out the trip as well like some people. (Not sure why it has uploaded sideways, I guess it was taken that way perhaps?)

It spells "Boobs"

Same as you did on a calculator when you were younger.

The mrs doesn't take the best pic, but... 50,000 in the 355 marked the moment when its value dropped by five figures.
