This topic HAS to lead to a book eventually.

I think you may have to buy the book! I've just churned out 2500 words on Rover at Cowley and I've barely scratched the surface there! I'll try and post a few more tidbits up later if you like?
I love thes stories. I'm keeping my pal down the pub entertained with them. I'll buy the book.

I'm on it, honest!
Might be worth taking some legal advice first. A blog will probably slip under the radar, but a book may not...

Derek Smith is still about and he wrote a book about his time in the police force, published direct via Amazon, might be worth asking him?

I bought it and enjoyed it as light holiday reading.

These superb stories remind me of the best (fictional) book I ever read about the motor car industry, WHEELS by the late Arthur Hailey, IT'S A CLASSIC. Based on USA practice the tales from the board rooms to the factory floor to the dealerships made fascinating yet frightening reading.

Great news Mr Fox! I'm not 100% sure how that works but will google KickStarter and figure it out from there. Best of luck, and looking forward to it getting printed

Whilst browsing KS, I did see this other interesting book on photos from Chernobyl. Sorry for OT post, but ppl might be interested...

Might not be as good as Elena Filitova's Kidofspeed series though.

Rich, what is your approach to avoiding a cease and desist type letter from a manufacturer?

Done. I fancy a copy. Went physical as I take books on planes, so don't like PDF's. biggrin

I also notice you are local, so feel free to set up your own reading in the pub one day, i'll attend and listen. hehe

I can cease and desist, that's easy enough, but the plan is to avoid giving them cause to send me one in the first place. There's a well-recommended lawyer who specialises in clearing books like this for publication, the kickstarter money goes to him, he'll suggest any changes needed. He's already seen the book and I'm quite confident I won't end up in any hot water. I have no axe to grind, these stories are from a long time ago, and names have been changes etc etc...
Cool, I'd just hate to see wasted effort smile
