Cars converted to pick ups

Not sure what you're looking at but most of the cars shown on this page retain their roofline.......
Let me clarify. The roof line I’m referring to is the line which runs over the top of the car from front to back.
Almost EVERY car posted has to roof line in tact ONLY above the front seats, then it’s slashed away to a flat bed back.
What I’m suggesting is that a conversion could be made retaining ALL of that roofline from from to back.
Meaning that at a cursory glance the side profile would almost appear the same as the saloon car donor.
In the case of the Audi A6 saloon I suggested, look at the rear lights and where they meet the boot lid.
Now imagine taking off the boot lid and rear window and extending the line of the rear window further forward but retaining the C-pillars and sides of the car in place.
A bit like the ‘flying buttress’ on the XJS that somebody posted.

I had a hope that it would look like an A8 version of a Maloo or along those lines, my god it just looks stGIYess said:
I think a lot of these look really good. I've done a really dodgy ms paint edit below.
How much work/what kind of bracing would be in doing this properly and would it have to be q plated?
Ha, that's basically a modern Ford P100! I saw a Mondeo conversion from Ireland that used the estate tailgate behind the front seats. How much work/what kind of bracing would be in doing this properly and would it have to be q plated?
For Factory finish, your nearest options are the Ford Falcon Ute from Australia, or the Fiesta-based Courier pickup from South Africa.
ETA Mmmm, "pursuit ute"

Nice with some smaller wheels. For Factory finish, your nearest options are the Ford Falcon Ute from Australia, or the Fiesta-based Courier pickup from South Africa.

I don't think that Rover considered a 75 Coupe, but the one in the picture was definitely an amateur enthusiast. Incredible that it was built in a shed.https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/features/man-wh...

A 75 Coupe got as far as a concept car, this link shows it and the build of the one off 75 above with the BMW windows https://not2grand.co.uk/blog/rover-didnt-build-75-...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
