That two-tone green interior on the Series 2 Sov on the last page. Surely that's not original. And the front seats look as if they've had a lot more pain than 57,000 miles would account for.

Thanks Oa! Great to meet you all. Loved the range from the 190 to the W222 S-Class.

Looks like I missed a gathering of Peaky Blinders and that it was as wet as the last time I was there. Good to see some new cars and faces through the drizzle but the Losers (Audi Chapter) definitely needs a boost. Hopefully I will get to Gaydon, has a date been fixed yet?

So wrong, but I rather like it. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

That gold jag is spectacular. And the mustard one is spectacularer.

Well done everyone on the drizzly loser's conference. Pics look fab. If one is ever assembled nearer the south west I'll have a go.

Thanks for the offer r129, however I will be heading up the west side of the country to visit family on the way.

30k mile Lexus LS430. Not a car for the heart, perhaps, but for under thread maximum budget you could demolish a lot of miles in comfort. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...
That drivers seat (only a small part admittedly) looks like its done way more than 30k to me. Anyone else?

Thanks alec.e - good pics, with a few of my car too. Foolishly, I didn't take a single one.

Shame we missed the chance of a group shot showing us drenched by mid-afternoon.
What is the stereo in this picture

Went to look for one for the W140 and they were all a little gaudy for my tastes.

Amongst absence and all of the excitement I missed passing-on my congrats bigben. The 140 looks fantastic.

I know others have first dibs, but how about I jump the queue?

I keep meaning to post an update about the C32 I bought / traded with another threadist, but will probably get around to it eventually. It was this one, incidentally: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

While too nippy and compact for full-fat bargeism, you've got a great engine and a highly practical and attractive package there. Excellent choice, I would love to see it at a future Loser's Conference - it's a car I've always fancied.

P.S., I have taken the liberty of mending your pic embedding:

Thanks for that!

Like all my barge buys it'll be for sale at some point in the probably near future. You'll not find a cleaner one than this I don't think, it's immaculate!

Thank you. A bit rich for me. I have decided that a parrot system hooked up to the headunit currently in the car is the answer, although it would be better if there was a non LC display parrot kit to give a completely stealth install.

Give the Kienzle (VDO) a look, Bluetooth music and phone interface with supplied mic, mechless, USB, SD card etc. And does not look out of place in the dash. A final nice touch is some of the menu items are in German. An easy radio to install and live with. Using the phone GPS through the radio means you get the directions coming through the car speakers, with your music. Quite neat.

Had mine for a while, and can recommend it for the sub £100 price.

Review of the radio.

Some lovely looking cars at the meet, especially the Jaguars.

I may be up for a visit to Gaydon. Could leave the Jag at home and bring the LS400 to mix things up a bit.

Thanks to 0a for organising, and to everyone for making the effort to go. Gaydon Motor Museum next time!
Right on my doorstep (I can see the building as I type this), would I still be welcome despite my current lack of barge? (I promise to park away in the corner somewhere).

I get the impression that all are welcome, barge or not. It's a state of mind. tongue out

ETA: I'd also be very much interested in a visit to Gaydon, again sans-barge unfortunately.

Looking at the reg, that would have come from the South West, probably from Riders of Falmouth, in fact I'm sure it once belonged to an elderly client of mine.

From my point of view an interest in barges and barging is an entirely adequate qualification. Otherwise how would we convert people from the Cult of PCP?

Think I might know of the bloke, did he wear a trilby and chain smoke cigars by any chance? Hang on are you Dave?
