Some rare/unusual car suggestions please.
Discussion
I am looking to buy another car finally and I have very picky requirements. It needs to be useable, fairly reliable (not so important), good looking (to me), but most importantly it has to be something you don't see very often on UK roads. Budget is around 4-5k excluding running costs.
Examples I'm already considering:
Chrysler Crossfire
Hyundai Coupé Siii V6
Ford cougar V6
Nissan Murano
Brabus Roadster Coupé
Renault Wind
Any other suggestions or any advice on what I already mentioned?

Some more ideas:
- Lancia Beta Coupe (OK, questionable reliability but v pretty)
- Toyota Sera (interesting because it's a gullwing)
- Fiat Barcetta (there's a rare RHD one for sale at the moment)
- Volvo P1800 (still think these are way underpriced)
- Lotus Excel (rare you see one, but probably for good reason)

some of those are rare for a reason
Bingo. Most of them are outright rubbish, or such a weird little niche nobody wanted them. They can make sense now because they are still undesirable and as such very cheap, so is the OP just looking for something that offers a lot for his money? Otherwise he's just asking us to list all the undesireable cars we can think of.Spumfry said:

So far, we've got a range of suggestions from sodding great big five-seat fairly modern soft-roaders to insy-winsy modern two-seaters to '60s-on classics.
You are right. The range isn't broad enough yet. Subaru Tribeca. 7 seats.
Not seen one of those for a bit.

These can be had for chips still, for some reason. This was mine minutes from being driven away by it's new owner last summer. Prior to this post wash pic, it had been up on stands for 20-odd years in my barn. You may need to reveal more of your strict criteria, something to go on.
Nnnnngggg...I really do need a Scim at some stage.

Off topic, but can you really get those for this budget? I thought even the weird looking shooting brakes were £10k+ and the lovely coupés nearer £15-20k. Did you mean Amazons rather than P1800's?- Volvo P1800 (still think these are way underpriced)
OP, did you mean modern (ish) or a classic?
If modern, I'd second the suggestion of an Avantime below mine, or a leggy Citroen C6. If classic, a well sorted Volvo 121/122/123 might ring your bell?
