I have always disliked the way the A-pillar joins the front wing and door on the SLK (SLC as it is now). A horrible mess of joins!!!!!

Actually that's a good point - any "non-MPV" car where the bonnet line flows up into the A-pillar rather than along the door.

Some have two separate bonnet lines, one of which flows into each which can sort of work.

Another with the Clubman.

Having a 7 letter name badged across the back of a car with vertically split rear doors. smash

Argh you monster! I'd never noticed that before! Absolutely triggering or what?!

i am sure the foglight will have been an afterthought brought on because of UK market regs. You see a lot of Japanese grey imports of that era with really dodgy stuck on rear fogs. That is less dodgy than most, prob because it wasn't grey as such.

Going back a little bit, but ever since someone pointed out how the doors on the Mk1 TT spoil the lines of the car, I've never been able to unsee it.

The whole back end is a stupid design. Two minivan doors, two rear wipers, two handles, 7 letters, Mini and cooper badges floating out on the outer edges, then finally the weird bug eye lights.

ugh.

I realise that these aren't exactly recent but never fails to amuse me. The redundant number plate recess on the Suzuki Wagon R.

Nope, I'm, with you on that.
I'm fairly sure that wasn't a number plate recess. The original Wagon R had a boot handle that fitted in that recess - think of a smaller version of a roof rail in that slot.

Oxford but that's no excuse for being German and having the Union Jack on your car. Or your handbag.

The whole rear end of the new Prius and the massive vertical light strip

Saw one for the first time last week, from the front it's very respectable then I saw the back! Dear god!

New Civic Type-R - Every damn part of the car, from front to back
Fixed that for you.
Fixed it for you too... hehe

However, for the purposed of the OP, specifically those weird stuck on plastic strips under the rear light/indicator...apologies, not the best close-up picture. Actually, apologies for posting the whole of the rear.

I'm pretty sure the strips on the rear is for aerodynamics/low drag. though i'd imagine it's rather pointless on a type r with a spoiler.

The awkward cramming in of the leaping cat and 'Jaguar' badges on the XF bootlid.

I get eye twitches every time I'm behind one in traffic.

Good example - it doesn't need both!

The previous version just had the cat without the word Jaguar, looked much cleaner. My XF Sportbrake just had the cat too - I'd have hated it if it had the word Jaguar too - can you 'peel' the letters off?

I think it is a numberplate recess, that's where the Vauxhall version's numberplate went.

Where to start???

Firstly Audi A5 2 door. The rear side windows have a slight corner but it's so slight it bugs the hell out of me. It's like they couldn't quite line everything up at the back with either a smooth curve or a sharp corner.

Secondly, any car with an awkward gloss black C-Pillar. The Jag XJ was prety bad when it came out, the bottom doesn't line up with the side window and it's at the wrong angle where it meets the roof. Having said that even worse can be seen on the new Astra. It just looks like they wanted to add some "premiumness" and slapped it on. In my view black c pillars only really work when all the pillars are black and the roof is flat such as on the Range Rover.

I'm sure I'll think of more
