Lots of Audi RS/S

Actually, now you mention it.
My wifes SLK Diesel has AMG badges everywhere, including (but not limited to), the wheels and the free floor mats.
My near-ish neighbours diesel A4 looks exactly like my S4 - some, colour. wheels & black styling. You would have to get close to suss out the differences, were it not for the badges and V6 exhaust.
Don't forget the silver wing mirrors! My wifes SLK Diesel has AMG badges everywhere, including (but not limited to), the wheels and the free floor mats.

I have an S4 Avant and see an S6 with a similar plate to mine going the other way in the mornings. I think when you think about something, you notice it. It happens to me when I want to buy a car, it seems like every other car on the road is what I am looking at!
Also, if I have an Audi, and a BMW and also used to drive a red Boxster, I'm amazed I can even make the car move without doing something wrong!

Take the A Class for example, the amount of 'AMG' models aside from the actual A45 AMG is incredible, all the way from the very bottom 100hp A160 up to the A250.My wifes SLK Diesel has AMG badges everywhere, including (but not limited to), the wheels and the free floor mats.

I get it though. For 9/10 people the performance of a car doesnt matter, they will be going from A to B, sitting in traffic, impressing their friends and family, so all they want is a car that looks nice and is a nice place to be - for those 9/10 people there is no difference between that A160 AMG and the A45 AMG. I will admit it myself as well, if I was buying into one of the Germans and performance wasnt an issue, I would still go for the S-Line or AMG or M Sport
and a quick look at the prices and it makes even more sense
A160 AMG - £21,619
A45 AMG - £39,840
Looks like there is actually quite a few of us who own our RS's ... Hmmmm not the stereotype that people like to push on PH at all ... And everyone occasionally drives like a complete tool, I don't believe anyone who says otherwise, as you can't influence how others perceive you no matter how 'in the right' you are/believe yourself to be!

The lack of 4wd puts people off the AMGs and Ms with big power.
This isn't an unfounded claim, I know people personally who opted for the Audis for this reason alone.
I used to have an M135 but moved to the S4 as I found the BMW a little small. During the process of picking what I wanted I also test drove the 340i Touring. One thing that put me off 340i was the lack of 4wd and as I'd never had a 4wd car before, it certainly played a part in my decision. I can relate to that I saw a Sepang Blue 2.0TDI Black Edition A4 in the showroom, and next thing, I'd switched my S4 order to a Daytona grey non-Black Edition... (Not leased or financed just so you know...)Bizarrely, Audi "S" cars are much rarer than "RS". Don't get me started on S-Line, please...
