What a strange comment to make about people you don't know.
What a strange comment to make, as you missed the point; I wasn't casting doubt on the owner, it is the finished product I was alluding to. Good luck to the guy, I'm pleased that he has sufficient funds to warrant doing something like this, but judging by the blizzard of comments on here, I'd suggest that his vision of what he thinks is gorgeous is far removed from the views of people posting on here.
Personally, I'd have bought a standard one of these and then used the extra $millions to buy a classic Ferrari, say a 500 Superfast...

The car is now in the UK, the owner intends to use the vehicle and not have it as a garage queen. Car will also be displayed at a few upcoming events by Ferrari.
It seems that you know who the owner is having read your comments. Could you tell us more about his fleet so we could get an idea of the criteria needed to be part of this one off programme..SpeckledJim said:

Criterion: sign huge cheque.I like it, it looks amazing and I prefer it to the standard car, he should have asked for a manual gearbox while he was at it
Oh gosh. He has fixed the 458. To my eyes, that window line is an amazing improvement - although it is very Ford GT (no issue with that). Normal 458 always looked a bit funny in profile to me. And those round flank intakes - shut the gate! (To borrow from a daggy kiwi mate of mine).
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
I can see parts of the Evora in the changes, but these are for the better anyway - the visor like glass and the dark kick in the flanks resembles the aero on the Lotus, other than that the proportions are totally different. The lotus looks more like a guppy at the front, the Ferrari a shark.
It's an improvement, one for the better. The car looks more aggressive and better balanced (to my eyes anyway). Fair play and good work. The fact it'll e used is even better. Well done that man for the project and for planning to use it.

Which all goes to prove, 'you can't buy class'......
... as in "this bloke had no class so tried to buy some with a nice motor, but even after all that he failed miserably.Anyhoo... it may have some shared design cues, but luckily they happen to be some of the best looking cars available today.
I'm not usually a ferrari fan, but this thing is stunning from the side. Glad the owner is also going to drive it, so big thumbs up from me - not that that matters to the owner, in the same way none of the other comments on here do. They paid their money, were involved in the design and hopefully they're pretty stoked with the outcome.

For those who are interested, David Lee (Ferrari collector) has just posted some pictures of this on Instagram along with the statement that the One Off Program involves 3 years of bi-annual visits to Maranello to work with Ferrari's in-house designers and the small sum of USD3m...
