Number plate "vigilante"

Nope Not me I'm afraid...
I don't own a camera or smartphone and even if I did I'd have absolutely no idea how to use either to start a Blog and put photos on it.
You're all missing the point though: If you have a illegal Chavplate then you can't reasonably complain when somebody else calls you a Chav now can you?
Not the only thing you don't have much of an idea about. I don't own a camera or smartphone and even if I did I'd have absolutely no idea how to use either to start a Blog and put photos on it.

Indeed. There's a whole universe of stuff I know very little and care even less about.
But living in Essex for nearly all my life has unfortunately made me more knowledgeable than anybody might reasonably want to be in the tacky aspirational vulgarity and faked-up bling that Chavs are irretrievably drawn to and my original point still stands. If you don't want to be regarded as a Chav because you're displaying a illegal number plate then stop behaving exactly like Chavs do and display it legally instead.
Simple.

Obvious where you're coming from...
You're clearly comfortable with the narcissistic, self serving, fkuck the law, tacky attention seeking mindset represented by the common vulgarity of illegal Chavplates so there's nothing more to say except that you're revealing a awful lot about yourself in defending them.
He's not defending anyone, but like any normal level headed and reasonably intelligent person he just thinks there is more to get upset about in life than spacing on a numberplate and he'd be right, you on the other hand .... well the less said the better, but a sense of perspective might be a good thing to get your hands on at some point! You're clearly comfortable with the narcissistic, self serving, fkuck the law, tacky attention seeking mindset represented by the common vulgarity of illegal Chavplates so there's nothing more to say except that you're revealing a awful lot about yourself in defending them.

Both wrong I'm afraid.
If you read back you'll see I've already said I'd have absolutely no idea how to post pictures or start a blog and even if I did I'm way too risk averse to contemplate taking a photo of a Chavplaters car simply because of the arrogant fkuck the law I'll do whatever I like attitude demonstrated by the Platee by the act of illegally spacing a registration number.
I thought this thread would stir up a lot of impotent rage among those with illegal plates and it seems I was right, but nonetheless there's no escaping the fact that anybody having one is revealing a lot about their need for attention and ego reinforcement as well as their attitude toward the law by the very act of doing so.
There's a simple logical solution though: If you don't like being labelled a Chav then stop doing the things that Chavs do.

Stop going on about things that don't concern you, classic old man syndrome.

People often put private plates on as an investment, to differentiate their car, personalise it or hide the age so they keep it longer. Not all these are Chav activities.

Whoever is doing the blog thing needs to find something else to fill their lives. Plates written in italics or in another script I can understand need pulling up but generally others are a bit of fun. If bib pull over then fair enough but to go around reporting people is just bizarre and very small minded.
He'll be reporting people for using blue ink on forms next.

The fkuck what the law says I'll do whatever I want attitude revealed by displaying an illegal plate should concern everybody surely?
If you can't grasp the reasoning behind that maybe it's because that nihilistic self serving mindset is so deeply embedded in your own psyche you've lost sight of the reality.

....what because a small minded nutter thinks he can do a one-man vigilate job using a fringe regulation that he's latched onto as backup ?

It's more 'fk what' Jaguar Steve thinks, it's got nothing to do with you how people space their plates, in the same way what colour underpants they choose. The concern is tired old busy bodies who can't keep themselves to themselves. This requirement of using black ink is a breach of my civil liberties because I have a colour vision deficiency (and that's another thing people call it colour blind!) so find it's sometimes difficult to tell if I have the correct pen. It's a good job I'm not ginger (at least I don't think I am)
Refusal to use black ink noted. You will be entered on the database as reported to the authorities.br d said:
Jaguar Steve really shouldn't have ventured out of the safety of the number plate thread and into the real world, it's great to see actual sane people counter his lunacy.
I've pulled him a couple of times in that thread after he posits that anyone who moves one digit on their plate two centimetres is a drug dealing psychopath with a slag wife (he really says this stuff, you can look it up!) but I'm always shouted down by his cohorts, they really are a fanatical little club in there.
The thing that amuses me is the constant stream of "This knob got out" or "Car was driven by a fat chav" or "Stupid ahole thinks he's clever" type comments yet to a man every last one of them waits for the owner to leave, snaps a little sneaky pic and then gets all Big bks on the internet.
Just once I'd like to see one of them make a comment to the driver.
A bit like that thread where they’re spotting unrepairable cars for sale on eBay to stop ringers. All has it’s place but someone restoring a vintage basket case without documents is stuffed. Then it turns out the leader of the bunch is actually using the thread to spot and buy car ID’s - he says he then ‘sends them to DVLA’ . Bizarre. Another unpaid quasi regulatory enforcement nutter only in that case he’s shelling out £1000’s of his own on it. Yes, but him and his kind are just weirdos, obviously with so little going on they need to hold frankly ridiculous views on things. Each to their own but it's difficult to reconcile that grown adults behave this way. As for taking pictures, if they do it on the mobile in car perhaps questions should be asked? Otherwise a very simple equation is would you actually say to someone. 'I'm taking a picture of your property to take the piss out of you on the internet'. If yes, fair play. If not, which I'd wager would be the majority of them, well what can one say?I've pulled him a couple of times in that thread after he posits that anyone who moves one digit on their plate two centimetres is a drug dealing psychopath with a slag wife (he really says this stuff, you can look it up!) but I'm always shouted down by his cohorts, they really are a fanatical little club in there.
