Because in his eyes you are being frivolous and deviating from the norm. Your whole family are perverted number plate deviants. I've got 2 personalised plates - one my dad had on retention for years and gae to me, the other was on the car when I bought it.
On the whole it's a harmless site for the owner to vent over trivial matters.
I've got 3 plates.
One which was on my grandads Rolls Royce, which passed to me via my father. Double digit number and 1 letter. I was brought home from the hospital in that car after being born, so the plate is priceless to me. It will always be in the family.
One with my initials followed by a double digit number.
And one which spells one of my names with the 51 substituting SI.
The two I paid for are worth significantly more than their purchase price and if it upsets the kind of person who created that website all the better.
As an aside, when picked up my last supercar, for about a week, it had its normal plate on it before I transferred one of the private ones. I got a few comments along the lines of "Why no private plate?" and "Nice car, can't afford a private plate though ha ha!" or "Must be a hire car, if it's on a normal plate".
So it seems you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Very strange website. Thats pretty unique in a 'loner' sort of way. Obviously he cant find a friend to do everyday normal things we take for granted. I suppose thats the way that some individuals want to pursue their lives, but he is probably still at home with his parents and will be for ever more ........

Wonderful.Way ahead of you CRA1G, unfortunately the Rolls is no more, otherwise it would be in my possession.
I'm sure your sons will hold their plates in the same esteem I hold my grandads one.
Excellent presents for life. Well done you.

Has anyone come across this website before? It appears to be one man who lives in the new forest area who drives round taking pictures of people's illegal number plates and other minor motoring "crimes" and posts them online. He also encourages the reporting of these "crimes" to the police or crimestoppers
I expect he'd be treated as some sort of Demigod by some of the folks on here.
Lol, just like the sad muppets in the number plate thread. I'm sure one day (one can only hope) one of them will get lamped taking a picture of someone number plate.
