Wasn't really sold on the looks of this, but I just watched the Carfection video and the car looks much better there, certainly growing on me.

I originally posted this in the Fiat section, but for a bigger audience -

I've been following the two 124 threads in GG and I was wondering if anyone has pre-ordered an Abarth 124 Spider...?
Oh and if 'Pwig' is looking at this thread, then yhm....

not ordered but will be seriously looking at getting a secondhand low mileage one in a years time when it will be a sensable purchase and there will be no doubt many aftermarket engine and suspension upgrades to personalise it.
The old one is still the best looker though, here's mine.

I quite like it. It has the look of a car that is meant for pottering in the sunshine. Conversely, the MX5 has surrendered that look and has gone for a performance look that it's stats can't deliver on.

Neil - that's a superb looking car.... I love the shape of the original 124.

Liking it a lot, was thinking, lower it an inch or two and it would be perfect, just look at this pic (it's cornering)

They have an Abarth on display at the Farnborough Air Show. I think the car looks absolutely brilliant! To my eye much more attractive than the current MX5.

If I didn't already own a sportscar I'd be straight down to the Fiat showroom clutching my credit card....

pretty sure is wasn't legal, or at least not main dealer policy to accept, some while ago (last century...)
A main dealer phrased it quite strongly. Google wasn't around then so i didn't pursue.
i'm sure you can buy cut'n'shut Boxsters under the arches by card tho laugh

And you'd be mad not to use your credit card where possible since it offers protection. I'm not saying use credit, merely use credit card and clear the balance in full before next statement is due.

Well I just used google and found no problems with buying cars on card.
Seems that you can also now charge chips in a casino too, pretty sure that was illegal in the past. As you were.

Saw my first one today, looked pretty special. Any plans for a hardtop?
