Much faster? the pre facelift TSI with 200bhp clocked 6.2 secs 0-62 in a magazine test a few years ago so I imagine the GTS to be even faster.
I'm unsure which VW it is you're driving which is much quicker as neither the UP or Polo are 'much faster' ... they're likely to both be slower.
6.9 for the GTS versus official figure of 6.7 for polo gti although as stated Top Gears test found the 0-60 to be 6.2I'm unsure which VW it is you're driving which is much quicker as neither the UP or Polo are 'much faster' ... they're likely to both be slower.

Lad at work who used to have a 280hp Focus ST went to a Kia Pro ceed GT thingy around 3 years ago which he likes ut his friend came around in an Abarth 180hp 500 the other day and now he is really wanting one of those after being taken for a spin in it... bit small and cutesy for me thought im afraid! 6ft 2 and not slim...
The 180 bhp Abarth 500 is the red car I posted. Except it's called a 595 Competizione. The one pictured has carbon fibre'd shelled buckets and a proper mechanical LSD too. I can't think of a car I want more. Test drove one and it's hilarious fun. Maybe not as sharp as something like a Megane RS, but not far off. Also can be enjoyed at sensible speeds unlike the mega hatches (in my experience). Expensive though...

Firmer but not that noticeable if i'm honest. Definitely not crashy or anything. I was worried tbh as at the same time i upgraded from 17" wheels to 18" R replica one's so potentially a double whammy. Definitely worth it though.
Mine was only the 1.4 TSI 122bhp model which was all looks but no go. Want a 2.0 TSI/ R at some point in the future.
Thanks for replying! I thought the ride would firm up slightly as a 35mm is a fair drop but good to know it's not going to make a huge difference to ride quality.Mine was only the 1.4 TSI 122bhp model which was all looks but no go. Want a 2.0 TSI/ R at some point in the future.
I'd absoluetly love an R but not sure I could justify the extra 7k or so as I'm uber tight

This won't make any sense because it's not a hatch and I think audis are just dreary looking things.
But, the new S3 in saloon form looks terrific. Just the perfect dimensions and purposeful yet discrete. They'll probably do an RS model and ruin it, but hay, that's audi for ya.
You are absolutely spot on. I saw one the other day in a purpley colour (could even be purple..) and it was one of the nicest looking cars I've seen in a very long time. The convertible version also looks phenomenal. But, the new S3 in saloon form looks terrific. Just the perfect dimensions and purposeful yet discrete. In all fairness 35mm is pretty minimal. It doesn't even look lowered really it just makes it look how they all should look standard. Compare it directly next to one with normal suspension and you can certainly tell the difference. It's good though as you don't need to worry about going over speed humps and etc.I'd absoluetly love an R but not sure I could justify the extra 7k or so as I'm uber tight
2.0 TSI is more than enough. If not you can always get it mapped which i believe they respond well do. The R styling is lovely though.

Kia Pro-c'eed GT. Honestly.
They do look good. The Hyundai version Velostar top sport model looks even better at the back end.Edited by nottyash on Friday 1st July 18:48
As for the Pro-c'eed GT it has potential but it's ruined but fitting enough lights that I need extra fingers to count them all, no car should have more than 10 front lights.

Mine!
I think they're pretty and unusual looking (in a good way).
Had a DC5 a few years ago. Think that might be the best looking hatch of all time in my view.
ETA: assuming it's OK to post those photos given the Scirocco discussion above.
The scirocco is a lovely looking car, as is the DC5, but both are coupes not hatchbacks, surely?I think they're pretty and unusual looking (in a good way).
