Hello PH massive,

I was parking behind a Sprinter Van today...........cool Story bro, but with a Twist :

Wtf Spinter V12 ? Ok, clever badge engineering, but wait, what is sticking out of the back ?

That´s 4 genuine AMG exhausts nicely fitting in/under the rear bumper

In the Cockpit, there was a tach with red between 6.000 and 7.000 rpm and wait,

there was an industrial pressure gauge going up to 3,5 bar crudely fitted in,

on the front middle seat an array on electronic boxes.

The wheels were 18", the tires R rated but 8pot calipers on the front

and 6pots on the rear discs, both ventilated and just fitting in the rims.

The R Rating puzzled me a bit, this must be faster than 120 mph ?

I could not take a look inside the rear of car because the Windows were heavily tinted,

and did not have time for a look under the engine bay / underside

because I was already late for an appointment, would have liked to talk to the driver.

Red 06 plates are german dealer plates, CHA is in deep south of Bavaria.

Any ideas ?

It seems the V12 BiTurbo can be shoehorned into a Sprinter engine bay,

as Brabus had proven in 2014

That's a worrying development given what UK WVM does with a 250CDi.

Not necessarily, it could easily be speed limited via the ECU. Or may run out of gears, depending on the final drive, transmission etc.

Hello, and sorry for the necrothread,

but I stumbled across the official video, which was uploaded more than 6 months after my spot.

This Sprinter exists, and is built on demand for "secure personal transport",

with the highest ballistic protection available, runflat tires, aircon, adjustable air suspension,

and the latest Euro6 emission label as the whole engine was taken from AMG limo.

In this version it weighs 7tons empty and up to 9tons fully loaded,

stil does 200 Km/h, 0-100 Km/h in less than 15 secs and 100 to standstill in 50m.

In the non-armoured version, it tops 240 Km/h, 0-100 in 11secs and 100 to standstill in less than 40m.

3 videos available, german & english, but I could not find more information in the net,

the manufacturer´s homepage has some interesting projects, but not much info about them,

maybe because the customers do not want too much publicity.

So.....better move over if a black wall unit shows in the rear view mirror,

must habe been some great scenes on german Autobahn in testing this monster

Change exhausts, remove diffusor, paint ( custom made) wheels black and have one of THE ultimate sleepers ?
