I know the guy who's responsible for the engineering/production side. Top bloke, owns a business making high end carbon race yachts.

Some lotus dna in the chassis as he borrowed my car when the clams were off so he could 3d scan the suspension. No idea how much of the geo he used in the end mind but I think at least the non PAS set up crossed over.

He's already sold a few. Hoping to drive it once the demo's are ready.
I'd like to see one in the flesh and interested to hear what you think when you have a go, I wish them the best, such a hard sector to make money in and I can't imagine big demand for this type of car in your part of the world ?

A spoiler-free E36 coupe is still a lovely thing.
I do concur with the learned gentleman and other esteemed posters, in appreciation of said autmobile. To wit: spiffing, herr shalmanesar, utterly spiffing cool

(Those E46s are a bit tasty too!).

Thanks all, It's a good angle and looks pretty smart when I can be bothered to throw a bucket of water over it!

Quick update on the E46 M3...

Popped into my local Stealer to have the airbags recall done yesterday. They also offered a free health check. I used the opportunity to ask for a print out of all the warranty work on the car.

The good news is that the bearings were done at 10k miles back in 2005, so at least it has the new style rod bolts and bearings. With the odometer at 87k now, and the car looking like it has never seen a track, I think I am reasonably safe for the time being.

The health check tallied up with my observations while buying - a slight weep from the diff driver's side output shaft, but a perfectly healthy subframe/bootfloor and suspension arms/bushes. Not a bad result. No major fault codes stored.

Also managed to pick up the 928 S4 5-spd. A real time warp car - it was nice to see something totally unmolested. Everything present - right down to the £280 spare tyre compressor and spare auxiliary belts for the alternator/aircon compressor and p/s pump. Imagine popping the bonnet up on the side of the M25 and changing one of them utilizing your full set of spanners - from 8 to 19. It is not going to happen in today's world, is it? Yet Porsche thought about it, and actually supplied diagrams in the Driver's Manual.

Matching set of N rated Conti Sport Contacts, with decent amount of thread left. Pity about them being DOT 2002. She will need a light resto - full paint and a chassis clean up, tempted to whip the engine out and re-fresh that too, even though she fires on the button and all the indications of rude health are there. On the plus side, she is totally rust free and has never been pranged. You know 928s get an unfair rap for being an electrical nightmare... This car last turned wheels in anger in 2005. Everything electric works! Lights, windows, heater, mirrors, you name it... Must really start a blog about her...

We will do, she is not roadworthy at the moment so not being driven.

89 model year, RDK sensors on standard S4 wheels = RARE

Reiffen Druck Kontrol - another Porsche acronym for "Costs an arm and a leg when it goes wrong"

lifted straight off the 959, with a 959 price tag of course - system needs 8 sensors mounted on the wheels - each sensor is £325 from OPC, the 4 sensors mounted on the hubs are also £325, so in theory, if they do go wrong at the same time, the bill would be for a cool £3900 eek

little wonder most owners disable the system when it goes wrong...

But doncha' know - they were painted by hand, by 18yrs old stunning Italian virgins, using brushes made of unicorn pubic hair and the Ferrari stencil on the caliper is actually a vinyl made of pure 22 karat diamantiumarabsheikhum... silly

I know these aren't a particularly loved Ferrari but I've always liked the look of them. Has to be the black trim at the base of the car though. Full colour never looked right to me.

Love the look of them!

Saw a lovely black and tan in Houston for not much more than £25k (off the top of my head) 3 years ago, thinking I might bring it back when I moved home.

I didn't.

I regret it.

Where "a bit" equates to a doubling in value.

Still, at least I've never turned down the opportunity to buy one of the six RHD GTCs before they went stratospheric. Oh, no, wait.......
