As you will know M6 wheels wouldn't actually fit an E61.
However, the same style were offered for both E60 and E61 M5 (which have different fitments to each other also):http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=21

What are the factory wheel and tire sizes for the E60 M5 sedan and E61 M5 Touring?
Both the E60 M5 sedan and E61 M5 Touring are equipped as standard equipment with a cast M Radial Spoke alloy wheel in a unique design (known as "Style 166M"). These measure 8.5 x 19-inches in front (with 255/40ZR19 tires) and 9.5 x 19-nches in the rear (with 285/35ZR19 tires). Unlike other E60 and E61 models, the tires used on the M5 are of a conventional (non run-flat) construction.
In some markets outside of North America, both the E60 M5 sedan and E61 M5 Touring were also offered (as an extra-cost option) with the forged and polished "Style 167M" alloy wheels similar to those used on the E63 M6 coupe and E64 M6 convertible. These also measure 8.5 x 19-inches in front and 9.5 x 19-inches in the rear.

I really didn't mean to start this. Sorry.
This however, I like too. The advert is terrible (text wise) and I've never wanted a DKR interior, but just look at it:

I think the moral of the story is if you don't want to be called a , don't be a rude in the first place.
I said 'get out'. Something that is thrown about on these forums a fair bit. I also said "Those wheels are BMW Style 167", which even you have said they are 167, just denoted with an M for the different offset. Anyway, I see you're old user name was Olly22n, which explains a lot.

One of the very few BMWs from that time period (late 90s/early 00s) that's never appealed much. Great engine, nice styling and quite special I'll admit, but as a package leaves me a bit cold. Values aside, I'd take a quick E39 every timeThis however, I like too. The advert is terrible (text wise) and I've never wanted a DKR interior, but just look at it:

And trying supporting your " I'm not rude " by being rude, kinda undermines your position.

An E39 funf and a Z8, please.
Not in possession of the stones or the coin to do either. Dammit!

Yep. What he said. This thread used to be the last bastion of civil behaviour. Really sad to see it's lowered itself to the same level as the rest of PH.
I bought an MG Midget recently. Flat out around central London was excellent and didn't break a single speed limit.

Oh and more details on the Midget chap.....?!
1st lesson of BMW/M beard club, there is always someone with a bigger beard, tbf I had always assumed they were the same wheel too.
I think the E61 M5 touring will be seen as the all time great of barmy estate cars one day, RS6's never cut it in quite the same crazy way, wish I had owned one.

Teal blue. 1275. Heritage shell back in the 90s but bodily still pretty spot on. It has a silly modern (well 1980s) stereo and immobiliser. Mechanically it seems pretty good. It's as much of a hoot to drive as I remember by 1500 being back in 1997. Brakes seem useless (which I think may be authentic!)

Teal is a great colour for these, what year is yours?Any pics?
One of the most fun drives I have ever had (and it was only last year) was in a 1500 Rubber Bumpered Midget around Yorkshire lanes with a chum. This one had no brakes. I mean none. Pedal went to the floor after a few miles so I just learnt how to keep momentum and use the handbrake at junctions.
