Unfortunately, most Porsche interiors are either specced by dullards or Stevie Wonder.

Just how bad is a tip?
Depends on the context. When I lived in central London I had a Tip Boxster, and the gearbox was perfect in that environment but frustrating whenever you were somewhere you wanted to drive.

It doesn't help the Tip box that PDK is so much better, either.

I actually really like the exterior colour.

The interior...not so much!
Hmmmm, I really like that colour combination. I must be broken, but it seems welcome in a sea of 'normal' combos. Then again, I like an S1 XJ6 with dark green leather, or an E46 with smurf, or a Bentley T2 with all blue or all burgundy interior, or the holy grail; an E24 with Buffalo leather.....mmmmmmmmm
Darker green might work on the Porsche. Or maybe some contrasting hues, rather than mint green and a black steering wheel. Perhaps it photographs badly and looks better in person...

I've just been on AT to check. You're right! An abundance of grey, beige or shell suit. Urgh.

I quite like smurf. Even smurf with smurf. But PY with smurf, now that really makes my eyes sting:

Smurf with Smurf here.
Wife is not a fan.
I love it. Partly because she doesn't.

My wibble is overflowing with want for these;

Exhibit A
Period Judson S/Charged Frogeye. Utterly fantastic.

Exhibit B
Leaf Green/Green Frogeye on steels and the two spoke steering wheel. So, so very me.

At £20k in the market of today, that supercharged Frogeye looks a buy. Lovely thing smile

Doesn't it just. Left hand drive is a shame but wouldn't bother me personally.

A family friend had a genuine Sebring and std Frogeye years ago, complete with an untouched supercharger kit still sitting in its box.

today I mostly want to drive this...

Love the purity of the lines and somehow the designers have gotten away with the large slab surfaces to create and imposing and yet elegant shape

So nearly bought one of these in in this colour (C4S) but at the last minute discovered that neither my bank ballance or my balls were big enough.

Hapilly there are encouraging signs of growth in both departments so may well do this at some point!

Enjoying the variety on here today Gents, I have a real hankering for a Frogeye in my life at some point, ideally i'd like the SC car in the full green below it. The Chevy is pretty spectacular too... I see Chris Harris now has himself a Camaro Z28 to go with his 205 Rallye.

I do like these a lot and before anyone says anything it's a 'yes' to the black wheels on this !

if you mean longitudinal engine position with gearbox ahead of it, this was standard for 5's of this era...I had a Gordini 5 and it was a great bit of kit and a hoot to drive.... (until it rusted away.. smile )

Leaf green over green is my perfect Frogeye, identical wheels/bumpers/steering wheel to the one above in fact.

I'd like two ideally;

One that is period modified with that s/c upgrade
And another period looking but with throttle bodied K series (Frontline'd really I suppose)

I'm easily pleased (reckon £50k all in for the pair) plus a daily driver. Job jobbed.

Yes I did. I had a 1987 gt turbo when i was 20. It was a very exciting car. Probably because it weighed less than a cinquecento and had no abs or power steering and 120bhp standard. It was awful to work on because you couldn't fit your hand anywhere meaningful in the engine bay as it was jam packed. I had to change the alternator, starter motor and the little fan which blew cold air on the carb after you turned it off. I'd love one now ... off to the classifieds.
