I do believe you're the most prolific purchaser on the thread.
Hello darling, is that you? I thought you were at a work dinner this evening. Don't worry... the other boys buy at least as many cars as I do. See you later. xxxOlly22 has been letting the side down badly.
JeremyC is just about keeping up.
Loon thinks about buying lots of things. And it's the thought that counts.
Lovely photos form LM. My Dad and a few pals went, and they came back toasted, but had a great time. The Group C cars were their highlight.
Thanks for comments on the Alfa. I'm a Campbell, so had to get some tartan in there - its on the sun visors too. The car is the long termer and I'll probably keep going on improving it until I achieve gta.
like this:
Body work is bubbled and rusty in parts, so scheduled for the autumn/winter, but not sure if I should buy a welder and new panels or go for full grp wings.
Any one bonded and blended a full fibreglass wing before? I'm happy with the process, but want a decent finish. Does the structural aspect matter?

I know you have a soft spot for the Alpina B6 3.5S.
You may want to give these people a call. They have just got one in. Not on sale yet but will be soon.

One thing is certain....it ain't going to be cheap.

Oooh a new volume.
Trying shamelessly to bag "first purchase of vol 18", may I present the new Gruber family wagon:
A 530dx with lots of nice brown cow:
Strictly speaking, it's just "deposit placed" right now. Hoping for a bounce in the value of the pound before we have to pay the balance...

Speaking of new purchases, am I allowed to soil Vol 18 (?!?!?) with my consideration for next year (won't be coming to the Middle East until Q3 2017)?
Having owned the first Gen version for over a year now (my third longest tenure with a car), I must say I am more than a little bit exited about Gen II of Uncle Henry's batst redneck wagon.
Possibly difficult to comprehend back in Blighty (let alone fit on the road), but once you've ttted one of these things off a sand dune and or casually exited a roundabout with more than a hint of slip angle, you'll understand the appeal. A sub 6 second 0-60 time in something weighing three tonnes, also helps.
Only fly in the ointment is FoMoCo's decision to use the V6TT; dropping the biblical 6.2 V8 'Boss' engine from the incumbent. However, the addition of a 10 speed 'box and the potential for hilarious tuning should mitigate those worries.
Cannae wait.

Simon - I actually like the Raptor. If I needed a "truck" it would be at or near the top of the list. However, here in Blighty, I'd likely "settle" for a Defender flatbed ;-)

Oh aye. The 8 year old in me adores that, although driving that here in Cheshire you'd probably look a bit of a pillock.Having owned the first Gen version for over a year now (my third longest tenure with a car), I must say I am more than a little bit exited about Gen II of Uncle Henry's batst redneck wagon.

Actually I don't know why I'm saying that, everything and everybody on the road in Cheshire looks a bit of a pillock.

Great photos too.On the fibreglass panels - have you talked to any of the specialists? I know that an issue years ago was with 'glass front wings fitted, it was common to get a big crack appearing later on where the wing meets the A pillar (not a structural issue of course).

Cheers Bayerische. Will drop them a line, but suspect it will be out of my league now! A bit like the 964RS, I should have jumped when I had the chance some years backI know you have a soft spot for the Alpina B6 3.5S.
