Waxing lyrical about cheap Clio running costs is away to bite me in the arse. Garage bill will be knocking on £1k and that's not including a cambelt or damper refurb, ouch!
How?

It was initially in for an accessory belt and a wheel alignment along with a full check over/investigating a few things.

It's had/getting the following in addition-

Both rear calipers
Brake pipe front to rear
Exhaust clamp
Track rod end
Nail removed from tyre
4 injectors
A/C re-gassed (held pressure despite the condenser looking crap, hopefully no small leaks evident)
Cooling system pressure tested
Cruise control (not working) investigated

Ouch. Same again for cambelt and dampers, too. Lucky they're so good (and don't depreciate).

That's not even everything but some things can wait until I remortgage the house...

The car is a bloody nail magnet though, this'll be the third in about 2 years.

My buddy (not a massive car guy) rated his "more fun" than his Cayman S (987)... But having driven my Dad's many moons ago; I couldn't live with the gearbox.

One of the bike engine conversions could be utterly hilarious though!
Better fun than 987 Cayman S... pah! biggrin

But with a bike engine/sequential box 200hp and 12,000 rpm... scratchchin

Epic posting chaps.

Rocket / JeremyC - I saw it first! hehe

Velars are weird. Seen none in the flesh, then a life size one appears on the ad board at the end of my street the other morning. Guy glued it up in about 5 minutes!

FFRR still appeals more but I'd not kick a multi cylinder V outta bed.

That mint Ruf is a hum-dinger!

/sleeps, dreaming of col de turini in AW11...
