From the front page;

Looks like good value to me;

Lister - https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Saw one parked up in the paddock at Brands last year, God it looked fantastic

I would imagine it would sound quite nice as well.

Interior is... well... let's just say it's 'of its time' (check out the period correct 'phone laugh)

That package but in a relatively standard looking XJS is rather appealing

Always liked the idea of an XJS as a handsome, comfy, 'gentleman's tourer' for waafting around in.

However, an old friend has one... a V12 he calls his 'project'... project is the right word as it very rarely runs laugh

Indeed, I think a tweaked V12 XJS is something that is rather appealing. On paper.

This looks like fun driving

What are the XK's like?

I like the look of them, just not so sure on the longevity/reliability of older Jags.

They have some known issues to look out for, and they do like to rust.

I'm not really a Jag person but love the XJS, and that Lister is just superb. I'm surprised that the asking price isn't a lot higher actually, seeing as they were commanding almost similar five or six years ago

Now just how much mollycoddling would one need though...?

Reminds me of a departed threadist, which then reminds me of other departed threadists.

Some of those people had some amazing fleets.

The Astons aren't shy when it comes to corrosion, either.

Ridiculous chav chariots, however capable they are I couldn't be seen in one, I'd be blackballed from my club. :-)

Today's musing: buy an Aston Vantage 4.3 in either Tungsten Grey or an interesting green for about £35k, retrofit maple veneers and cappings, drop £5k with Bamford Rose for exhaust and lightweight flywheel, and you've got yourself a genuinely quick (but not unusably so) sports/GT that sounds fabulous, goes well, and is probably one of the prettiest cars of the last 30 years. What's not to like? Maybe some leather buckets too.

Splendid! Why aren't there more of these?

Vantage, I'm probably alone on this but unless it's got a V12 in it I think they are a bit meh, plus I've heard too many bork stories to ever consider one.

Talking of bork, how ruinous could this be for £7.5k ?
