[quote=L100NYY]Talking of Porsche 968 Clubsports, Griffs and retro magazine covers put me in mind of these and many a happy memory of pouring over these issues and many others........
Had them all too and spent (probably) far too long memorising every detail I could.
Seem to remember Barker writing about the Diablo picture some time later
admitting they got him to dump the clutch with several millions rpms * to
bag the overtsteery shot for the cover from a standing start around the corner!!
I remember dribbling a little over it at Callendar car show 9/10 years ago. It
was white, bubble/M3 type arches and if memory serves right hand drive too.

There is/was a chap in Scotland with an '02 with the same engine conversion.

Lovely car but recommissioned means they left it under a cover for ages hoping the value would increase then had to do much needed maintenence to get it roadworthy...The CS is not hugely different to the regular Carrera though. But as we all know, a badge sells..

The very one indeed. Still like it! I had E30 (325i) flavour at the time. Nice to
waft about in and the kids fitted in the back which meant it actually got used.

That M4 looks mahusive compared the to the E36!
It is! Very different car, and on the Bahn it was just gone every time we got a free bit of tarmacHowever, the newer wouldn't really do it for me, and I much prefer the E36. In 3.2 mode it is still plenty quick and was happy to sit at 160 for extended periods. Not quite E30 levels of interaction, but still feels "analogue"
